Making of accessories for cutting wooden threads
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
In this video, I demonstrate the process of making jigs for cutting wooden threads.
I've often wanted to make wooden threads, and even looked online for the necessary tool for cutting, but the price of the large diameter threads cutters is unreasonably high, so I put it off until I received the 50 mm metal bolt with a nut for free. I thought that a wooden threads such diameter would be strong enough to use in my future projects. So I decided to give it a try.
This time the outcome of all my effors was designed in the form of two oak and one ash bolts with 4 nuts. I also made a lot of threads blanks for my future projects.
Reminding to all my subscribers and viewers that the brutal war started by Russia against Ukraine continues, Russian aggressor does not plan to change its criminal plans. We sincerely appreciate and thank all our allies and partners for their support.
We believe in victory!
Glory to Ukraine!
Thank you all for watching!

Brilliant!! I love that the “inspectors” are playing on a table you made with toys you made. They are two very blessed children! 🇺🇸 ❤ 🇺🇦
*Brilliant!* This is by far one of my favorite videos-well done Nick. I'm also very glad to see that you're family is safe and doing well. To God be the glory.
You had me wondering what you were making, until the end. Fantastic
Very nice. You should also do the wrench.
Well done on the tap and "die" setup, Nick. Thank you for sharing.
I am amazed at your resiliency in continuing on during wartime. I'm am so happy that your children are still safe and growing. I love your video content. Thank you for all of it.

That was fascinating! The thread tap was well made, but the way you cut the threads on the bolts was genius.
Using the router to cut those threads was a great idea. Very cool project and beautiful execution!

Очень хорошая идея, видео тоже! Счастья вам и здоровья! ❤ 🇺🇦
back on old time in Europe, people used to make threads by hand, my grandfather had a old wine press in Portugal, done this way using only a chisel and a mallet, amazing feat for an artisan! Amazing video!!

What fun!
I did something similar with a trapezoidal TR20 threaded rod as a tap for making internal threads in wood. If I'll ever do it again, I will not choose a trapezoidal thread (like the one you use) again, but use a more typical 60 degree triangular thread profile (perhaps even a custom 90 degree thread). The trapezoidal profile has high cutting forces with the blunt ends of the tap. A triangular cross section should cut with less force. It should also be possible to use a thread cutting box with a simple cutting iron, not necessary to use a router. I found it impossible to make a cutter for a trapezoidal thread that would work in a thread box. Unfortunately there aren't commonly used metal threaded rods that would make a good wooden thread cutting tap, so it would be necessary to make a single point cutter for the external threads too. Awesome project, thanks for the video.
Як завжди дивуєте. Дякую!

What are you going to make to use them with? Something good I hope.
I’ve always loved wooden nuts and bolts. I’m interested to see what you’re doing with them. I was just starting to worry about you. I’m glad you are safe.

Hi, please this machine, with you are cuting threads, how is the name,...
Well the inspectors really seemed to enjoy the nuts and bolts of this project. Was this just an exercise in how to make wooden nuts and bolts or do you have something special in mind for them in another upcoming project? Keep these videos coming please. It's good to see your family safe and well enjoying as normal a life as possible in these trying times. You're still in our prayers and thoughts and will be until this madness is over for you. Keep safe and stay well. Slava Ukraini!

Intriguing that you made the tap with an old screw. Even more innovative is that you utilized the router as a copy milling machine. Good for you, and Ukraine, be strong and fight the good fight. Best wishes from Johannesburg, South Africa.
