Making my SHOP into a TROPICAL PARADISE for a Week - Full Build
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
In this video I take a massive ash log and carve it with chainsaws to make a log fire table with matching modern patio furniture. Then I convert my workshop into a tropical oasis with more than 70 plants, a sand floor, landscape lighting and fencing. This DIY style video has narration and asmr sound effects and covers the entire build process of making this unique fire table and hollywood video set.

Someday I'd love a follow up video on some of your past projects. Do you still use them? What worked/didn't work. Stuff like that.

Maybe change the thumbnail picture on this video? I passed by it a few times before I realized it was your video. Just a recommendation, I see the view count is still low.
Always a good day when Drew uploads a new video 👍

As a fellow Drew I’ll let you know that you’re making all Drew’s look better. Also your Drew merch will look good on my back.
Even if I didn’t go on your vacation, that drone footage is INCREDIBLE! Please keep sharing. Also, another killer video. Thanks Drew, yet again can’t wait to see what comes next.

YES for outtakes of regular life stuff. You’re a f***n beast and we appreciate you. Keep killing it Drew! This build looks insane

Long form is the best reason to be here. It’s not long for longs sake lol
The build was amazing, but completely transforming your shop was…just phenomenal!
Great video! My son lives across the road from you, and I was there when you were dismantling your set. I'm a woodshop teacher in Waterloo and the 2 x 4's you put out at the road for free will come in handy in my class. Keep up the good work.
"Making my garage into a tropical paradise".. Jesus dude, you never cease to amaze me. 😀 You're such a creative human being. Thanks for sharing your projects with us. I can only imagine what it feels like to build your home yourself. I look forward seeing more of your stuff. 🙂
Bro, you can post anything you like. I love watching your channel. you`re one of the smartest engineers on youTube, hands down and I watch a LOT of channels. and you`re a Canadian like myself and that is rare to see on here. keep building and thinking and building. Ill be watching them all. stay blessed.
You are so creative and have more energy than 100 people combined. I enjoy watching your videos. Great job.
Dude Drew...your content and builds are UNMATCHED. Also yes, yes, and YES please to more outtakes of your life and drone footage.
Man, Drew, you're killing this KZread thing. There aren't many channels that manage to become must watch channels, with relatively rare uploads and 30 min+ videos, and you've absolutely nailed it. I saw you'd uploaded this morning, so I went to my computer, opened the video in a new tab for when I got home just now. You've managed to achieve such a good look to your videos, with excellent pacing, excellent commentary and excellent projects to boot!

Untrue. Broaden your horizons and stay away from short form content, you'll be surprised how many quality channels do this.
More outakes please, that short clip of drone footage was a sublime addition to an already stunning video. In fact I would watch any sort of vlog type content you create on your daily life. You are living the dream

this is probably my first KZread comment, This is FIRE!
Wonderful as always! I hate to hear you say that some people don't view your work as the awesome talent and passion it is. Stay true to yourself and your commitment to hard work and quality. Many of us are cheering you on! And yes, behind the scenes, out takes, and life videos are all welcome! *Please people, actually listen to the video and read what he says. The tiny house interior video will be out in about 2 months. It takes time and money to complete such a project. Be patient.
You're an artist. Drop those outtakes anytime. It was an unexpected but nice intermission from the build.
Loved watching" yes " your whole video... amazing little tiny home
HONEY THERES A NEW DREWBUILDS VIDEO!!!!
I could just sit and see that drone shots all day . Its like a paradise.❤
Dude, the nature in the shop was RIDICULOUS. And I loved every bit of it. That was amazing.
Drew, big fan of your channel and projects. It’s a joy to see your success revealed in views by others. This video has the potential to reach millions of views. Set that log in a snowy field, wear Bermuda shorts and a tank top while holding a beverage. Change the thumb nail to the snowy scene and it will happen.
Keep the tropical paradise and build a new workshop.
Amazing video as always. I'm still waiting for the interior build of your house. It's gonna be awesome.

Absolutely ridiculous ! I LOVE IT !!!!!!! Greetings from Poland
It’s like Christmas morning when bro drops a new video.
He's totally talented and gifted in his chosen craft. ❤
HOLY MOLY, that is epic! If you're ever bored, would be interesting to carve out a hollow in the log to put the propane tank in so there's no exposed hoses. You could cut a cookie off the end of the log first which would be reattached using magnets or hidden hinges for when you need to swap out the propane. Epic job!!
Pole Buildings, Above and Beyond, the new show hosted by yours truly, Drew. He drew it so he and you can build it....
37:03 Snowing outside your chilling in here with a little umbrella drink in good company! 😌👍✨
More uptakes of the day to day of our very own ‘Crazy Cannuck’. Really enjoyed this one, pure Canadian ingenuity. Thanks Drew, totally looking forward to the house interior. Stay safe.
God damn you’re a teacher, a carpenter, a metal worker, a machine operator, a videographer, a photographer, a director, an editor of all the things, a set designer, a business owner, a KZreadr, a presenter, a script writer, a cinematographer, a lighting specialist, an electrician, an engineer, an inventor, a builder, a plumber, an artist, a graphic designer, a web designer, an audio technician, a speaker…. Anything else? I’m sure I missed something! Can you dance and sing too? Incredible video woweeee!
Who needs virtual reality when you have Drew
Oh yeah, yes to outtakes of your regular life 👍
Not sure if its just me, but these "fire products" always have one flaw for me: When it gets colder, my feet and legs freeze, while my face melts away. The fire is just too high up. Sure, I can put my feet up, then my soles are cooked medium rare while everything else freezes. My body is weird i guess.
What mother would not be extremely proud of this young man? I’m an 85 year old mother, grandmother and just recently, a great grandmother. I’ve watch him finish out his tiny house (now I understand why they are NOT that cheap), except installing furnishings. Now, I watched his chair building. Excellent work young man. If only, all the street kids could get training doing this type of building. Kids that learn a good trade will never be in trouble. My suggestion to this craftsman, design something to assist you with your saw so you don’t need to lift it with your shoulder problem. Keep doing what you’re doing. Excellent
Imagine a coffee shop built like this I would never leave 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
The quick drone footage segment was a nice addition and helped break up the video a little bit. Definitely should include that again in the future.

Perfect, I have lots of random videos that I do t usually do anything with
Drew, you really need to make a couple of folding saw horses for your planer and your tablesaw. Your back will thank you when you get to my age!
9:50 this footage is stunning! please keep building, filming, editing, traveling and posting whatever you want, no matter how long the gaps are between uploads! the quality of your content is so high, it’s worth the wait. you’ll always have an audience.
I made sure to watch the ads in full, so you can earn more money to create more contents like this!👍
Looks like somebody newly finished back yard!!! Nice!!!!!!
So you're basically making a movie set. Cool.
Great video! I liked the part where he said “its buildin time!” And Drewed all over the video.
That’s sooo amazing and imaginative that I’d give you ten “👍🏽” if I could 😂😂😂
That setup is epic! If it loses something through the video, I can't imagine what it's like in real life.
An idea I thought of for the propane tank would be maybe hollowing out one end of the log and saving the end cap of the log to use as a trap door. All in all a great video and a wonderful project!!!
Yes to the outtakes, Drew. The Arizona footage was spectacular. 👏🏼
lmao i love the lil additions like cutting the beer can in slowmo or sending the camera through the planer
Absolutely beautiful 🤩 I especially loved the fire pit, how creative!
I love this channel. He always provides free plans, spends a ton of money to make the video great and never asks for anything back but a subscription. Someone who is in it for the love of making rather than making money. Keep up the great work Drew

That’s always been the idea. I love what I do and am super lucky that it’s now my actual job
This was mental to watch, GREAT Job Sir.
this completely ridiculous... AND I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!
As another Canadian KZreadr often says: "a grinder and paint makes me the welder I ain't!". You're being too modest about your welding skills, it looks amazing and they're obviously tough enough. Great to hear we'll be getting more tiny house content soon!
This dude doesn’t miss.
Wow amazing as always!🤩 If this was set up between your hot tub and sauna it would be the ultimate oasis!❤ Also I don't think anyone would complain about even longer videos. I say longer is always better!😉
Only recommendation is that you should use the chapters feature to organize your videos. I love your videos by the way! Very calming and entertaining to watch.
This is legit one of the coolest and most creative things I've ever seen. Awesome job man, thank you for the video.
You are absolutely incredible, just found you YT channel and I’m sitting at work watching everyone . ❤❤❤
I dont think anyone can replicate your videos. Nicely done. 🙂
I would lov a second channel, where u can show more of ur life or outtakes.
i hope the tiny house build is going well! i miss your uploads ❤️ but i appreciate the amount of time and effort is takes to create them
IMHO this tops the mobile home build. Well done!
AMAZING ending Drew, holy crap balls! 👍 I know it must have been hard to say goodbye to it when you had to take it down. Your videos never disappoint. Love your content, don’t stop
Drew's videos are always at the bottom of my playlist. U know why🤩
Please more drone stuff like that one. That would be awesome.
Proud of you Drew ✨⭐ That's really an Amazing video ❤ More than Happiness 🤩🎉
Transforming the shop OMFG
That drone footage was awesome, nice timing in the video too.
That was completely awesome! I would love to have an indoor outdoor space.
Can you create a 2nd YT channel with your trips? I would love a travel channel with your signature style of footage and narrating
Awesome videos! Educational, relaxing, and entertaining. Perfect for a Sunday evening. The drone shots look phenomenal, too. Thanks a lot, Drew! 🙌
Insufficient “like butter” demonstrations so only 10/11 this time.
ARIZONA AREA SO BEAUTIFUL. LOVE TO SEE MUCH BEAUTIFUL VIEWS.
You are absolutely incredible. And your skills are just getting better and better. Over the last two days I've discovered you on KZread and Instagram and watched every single one of you videos on here and seen all of your posts on IG. Not to mention I thumbs up'd and ♥️'d all your posts. The ending of this video almost left me speechless and I CANNOT wait to see what your future has in store. Especially the interior of your Tiny Home. Which I'm so jealous of and can't wait to build my own. You make me believe this is a achievable dream for me. Thank you so much for the little look into your life, I'll definitely be buying some of your merch when I get my next pay. God bless, Drew!
Always a good day when drew builds stuff
Just a suggestion, put your planer and /or your table saw up on the workbench or on a stand-save your future back! Great Video! Thanks for sharing!
Wow, all thats missing now is the bar 🎉
The algo needs to promote your channel more
Drew is going just slightly insane and I'm here for it. So much effort put into this - well done man.
This is the only wood working channel with videos over 30 minutes that I watch. Your editing is really good for how long these videos are
you should build some sort of living space you can use as an airbnb

I love the chairs & fire. The staging is a bit... Disney for my taste. Love the quality of your builds, but I don't think bigger is always better when it comes to showing them off. Each to their own though, I know some will love it.
This is absolutely WILD drew holy crap 😂😂
The man who cooked a thick log😂 Tropical fire🔥 It's like a movie set Manly smell
I watch A LOT an I mean A LOT of wood working videos some from the US an some from abroad an only a couple of people who are in Canada but honestly your the most down to earth human beings on KZread the pics from Arizona you didn't have to post it but you did an it made watching the rest of the video more personal like your building it to show a friend or family member your a true inspiration to ME an I thank you for making me feel included in your journey to make that beautiful OASIS Fabulous work an don't change how you do things I love it thank you

@@DrewBuildsStuff you're my favorite channel to learn from, you got great stuff and the things that you make are always interesting. The quality of your videos speaks about the effort you put into these things and considering you're building, filming and editing it yourself so 2 months is definitely reasonable. Anyways great video you delivered, yet again.
My favorite channel on KZread.
Stopppppp this os BEAUTIFUL!!!
Would love to see more personal videos. I would also like to recommend that you build a wood working bench. something that has a little something of everything you need for it. like clamps, maybe a welding table, straight edges/ preset angles/ preset lengths you tend to use more often ( i see you've built a lot of walls lately lol), and maybe a place you can put your more bulky tools like your planer. i think something like that would help a lot with efficiency..... and your back! lol. always a good day when you upload man i cant wait to see the next parts of the tiny home!
Great video and project while im waiting for the rest of the tiny home build, cant wait for that !!!
Now you mention it, I support the use of cheap tools. Makes the content more appealing to the the regular guy. I'm regular.
Your absolutely incredible I loved the drone footage, and I loved the " I'm going to pull a real KZread move and bring nature to my shop 😂"
Boomey, your a mad genius!
Fascinating as always! More outtakes or “B Roll” footage. ❤
Always in shock and awe
I watch a lot of wood working channels on KZread, and I think yours is one of the best, by far. The only thing I don't like is the music is annoying and repetitive. But overall it doesn't affect your vids. I love your filming styles and your subtle humor. :). Thanks.
