To get started with Yelan's really complicated dress, I had to make a pattern! Luckily, all a cosplayer needs for that is some plastic wrap and duct tape! 😁 The plan is to do the top part first and then attach the rest afterwards! Still not sure if I should do leggings or an actual bodysuit underneath though!

@@akiraa1319 taking a measuring tape or rope if I couldn't find one and methodically measure every part of myself put that onto paper. test out the dementions and then adjust and repeat until it fit

Be aware of wrong measure. Scotch tape can change the volume after putting of this construction.

@@emilymulcahy Yeah, lots of cosplayers do it, it's still really cool tho! Makes sense if you're making something only for yourself to wear, better to use your own measurements from the start.

I love it's more simplistic look but I HATE HATE HATE that fur/skin scarf thing! It just ruins the design for me.

Very helpful tips for not only regular clothing patterns but as a novice fursuit maker its useful for when i go to attempt making my fullbody suit.
You really inspire me to be who i want to be.. not be what everybody wants..its really hard to not let other people words not affect me..

Probably cause bodies change pretty quickly. Especially during any kind of hormone changes. And for some that is monthly 😊

Ha! I used to make my patterns this way in the 80s when I went to fashion school and they thought I was nuts. Happy to see a young version of me picking this up.
