Can you use any kind of yarn? I see so much yarn at the thrift store . I may try my hand at it…looks more therapeutic than Sashiko.

All the yarns I used on this were acrylic because they were affordable and this is new to me. You can use any yarn but some are more durable than others so it depends if you plan to use it as a rug or as a wall hanging etc.
