@@TonyMarselle I’m 32 and I remember seeing Ellis MC a DC demo with a megaphone when I was 13. We also used to quote his cameo in Bam’s movie Haggard all the time in high school. Just because you don’t remember Ellis before this podcast doesn’t mean we all did

The most striking thing about Weird Al is how NOT weird he comes across. In fact, he seems kindly, unassuming, and lovely--not at all like his satire. Tony and Jason bring out interesting details about Al with their questions and humorously guided discussion. We all loved this.

The Weird Al show I went to, about 5 years ago, was legitimately one of the best shows I've seen! Also, he was so kind to my friend and I even though we were far back in the meet and greet line after his second show of the day!

Fantastic episode! Best yet imo. Also, fun fact - the movie UHF was called The Vidiot From UHF in Australia. And Jason seriously needs to watch it. I quote it almost weekly, if not daily.

This is excellent! Totally listened to Dr Demento on the clock-radio in my room every week. My first tape was In 3-D! I still have it.

I live in Indy and we had a High School trip to Kinds Island in Cincinnati. This had to be 1995-97, and as a total surprise Weird Al was performing LIVE that night at Kings Island. It was so Awesome. Full fat suit for Eat It… it was Awesome!!

Dope episode. I'm still waiting for Christian Slater. It would be dope to see more people from 80's movies on here. Movies like Rad, BMX Bandits, Gleaming The Cube and Thrashin. Would be cool to hear some of their stories.

My mom bought me the Weird Al greatest hits cassette tape for my birthday and we listened to that sucker front and back 100 times in the car

I freakn was loving this episode. . It's great

The first song I ever heard of his was Eat It. It came out when I was in about the 5th Grade or something. I got into skateboarding around the 7th Grade but didn’t really find out who the pros and skateboarding as a sport until almost the 8th grade, so that’s when I found out about Tony Hawk and then saw him and the rest of the pros at Expo 86 in Vancouver, BC, summer of 1986.

I’m not gonna lie, a trick tutorial, how to with Tony, and Jason needs to be made ASAP! Start with the basic fundamentals of grabs and work into flip trick grab tricks. I’ve watched your trick tips for the past 19 years, and I can just never get enough. ❤❤❤

Why isn't Weird Al in the games as a guest character yet? Regarding reactions by those parodied by Al, he _technically_ isn't obliged to seek permission from the artists and/or record label, but he still does so regardless out of principle and to avert any misunderstanding. Yankovic was going to parody "Live And Let Die" as "Chicken Pot Pie" but Paul McCartney objected due to him being vegetarian.

This was on par with how funny the Seth Rogen episode was 😂 congrats on 100k subs

I've binged most of these podcasts and Tony has honestly became a good interviewer. Jason, not so much but he is hilarious and both of them interview well together as a team.

I never had time for spoofs of any sort. It’s just never been to my comedic taste. So like I’ll never choose to listen to Weird Al, but I would hang out with him. I respect the dude and would not disparage him.

Gangsters paradise and White and Nerdy were so good, I grew up with those and Weird Al ALWAYS been cool for my generation, 25-35 age. Quoting him, singing the songs more than the original at times. White and Nerdy was way more famous than the original.
