This is great information. Over my career I have worked up so many concepts, illustrations and designs that weren't used but were still successful. This is perfect for me to review & update past ideas. Great project for now when the economy has collapsed. No, this is not a prime source for income but it ADDS to your already established income. Great advice especially if you've been in the business for awhile. Thank you!

This is an okay passive income if you already have many illustrations, or adjust your daily digital practice (social media post) to the required format, and diligently sit in your computer and upload them weekly. It can take quite a bit of time and energy filling up the info & tagging.
Hi there, thank you for sharing this, this was very valuable! You mentioned about several stock websites that has non-exclusive agreement, do you know any websites to avoid that are using exclusive agreement?
@scotttalbot4041

Usually, stock websites will give you the option of exclusive/non-exclusive sales, although I'm sure some might demand exclusivity . You do get a higher return for exclusive sales though...
EXCELLENT. i am new in this field. can you please make one full episode on how to configure Pen Tablet ( Huion Inspiroy H1161) to use on Adobe Illustrator.
What do you recommend if you want to use vector illustrations to print on t shirts?..The packages say royalty free but to download you have to pay and it can cost you like $29 a month for 10 images but does that mean you can use and print 10 pics on t shirts or do you have to buy the more expensive one where you get 2 images for $200..Thats a lot of money and big difference in content..What is the difference in what you pay if you can use both package deals for printing on merchandise???
thank you for this video!!! I have a question; how can I make my illustrations visible among thousands of files with the same subject? I am using Inkscape, is it good for selling stock vectors? thank you a lot.
I am wanting to sell my abstract art as texture packs. So I'd like to sell the whole piece with the piece broke up into 6 close up jpegs to go with it as a whole texture pack. I'm running into issues with my file being too big for uploading to Adobe, but fear if I scan as a Jpeg and use that format for all uploads then the buyer won't be able to enlarge it. Any advice?
Upload you Ai, Eps, SVG file with a preview image that should be 5000x3000. Preview image can be fancy compared to actual file. Like if you are uploading business card, for preview image you can upload the mockup of your business card. If you’re uploading iconset, the actual icons in illustrator might be differently arranged but you can create a fancy presentation to sell your assets.
Nice
In what condition are we allowed or not allowed to use our own stock image after uploading it? I got confused about it while uploading my works.
@MindGem

Most stock sites have different licenses. So you can give up all rights to your work (although I think this is very rare) most of the case you're always the copyright holder so you can use your own work. There might be limitations such as posting it on other stock sites. But all this info is found as you first upload a work to a stock site. If you sell your work to a client then you'l always keep the rights for it and often you sell a limited use such as 2 years free use and renegotiation after that. That's standard today.
Just wanna say, "Thank You"!!!
can you make a "start to finish" on a simple upload for a simpleton like me, please?
@MindGem
2 жыл бұрын
I should do a vid about that. It is such a frustration to figure out all the correct settings to get graphics approved. Once you know it you just follow the same thing over and over but to reach that point is a struggle and as you I didn't find any info about it. I tell tell you that unless you find info out there it's going to be a hard road to hoe.
i just want to ask? can you submit the same artwork on 2 diff. platforms, say adobe stock and shutterstock or freepik at the same time? is it ok or will it get you in trouble?
Hey, I have a question - is fanart sellable? For example, I draw a lot of characters from games, cartoons etc. in my own style of course, and I was wondering are those types of work legal to sell ? Or should I avoid fanart ? Great video btw, I just subbed :D

Great question. As far as I know original art inspired by other media is allowed to be sold on stock sites.
@olanikeartpowerpoint7589

you might want to repurpose that illlustration to sell it. i think platform like freepik doesn't allow work that isn't 100% from you ... including OC that belong to other===fanart
