I respect RObert Garcia more then ever coming from parents of a field worker that's just an amazing accomplishment I would know cause my parents use to work in the field as well damn much props to Robert and Maidana best of luck this Saturday 👍✌️

i don't know what Maidana has done in his past, but from hearing Robert Garcia talk about him, it's obvious he wasn't making the right decisions and was probably on the path that a lot of young people take, especially when they're surrounded by gang violence, but I definitely respect Maidana for getting his life together and becoming more than a statistic. From watching All-Access you can tell that he works hard in the boxing gym, but more importantly, he seems to be a great father to his children, a great husband to his wife, and he's been very loyal to the people that have helped him become the fighter and man he is today. Even though i'm a floyd fan and think that floyd will win this fight, i know it won't be easy for him, and if Maidana wins i won't even be upset. I didn't know much about Maidana until his last fight with floyd, but consider me a fan of this guy. it's hard not to root for him. Win or lose, i wish nothing but the best for him and his family.

Mayweather acts like an aggressive fighter outside the ring, Maidana tries to box in the ring, but when it all comes down to it, Maidana just wants to Fight all balls out, and Floyd just wants to play it safe and box. I think Maidana will outwork, outpoint Mayweather this time out.

In boxing kids with rough past have the most chances to getting in the ring and leaving it all in there.. I knew kids in amateurs who had rough upbringing but hated taking a punch to the point to quit after said punch.. Ultimately not only do rough paths help boxers but mentality is what you truly need in boxing

there are few and far between.. you had to have a very rough life getting into boxing unless otherwise.. theres definitely no definite proof there needs to be.. de la hoya comes to mind where he is the nicest guy and just tough in the ring.. but then you have men like mayorga who has scars and was a tough fighter...alot of east coast fighters have alot of grit who have tasted poverty.. but its not a end all be all.. im a very nice guy and didnt come from the ground and im a very mentally tough boxer ... but in ways it always helps..

Rivaldo, this is the kind of comment that really pisses me off. If you truly know about boxing you will know that boxers continuously learn their craft. Some get better and some stagnate! Now you are looking at fights that are well past their sell by date! The fights you are talking about are so irrelevant as of now because Maidana is nowhere near the same fighter he was back then. If he was that same fighter do you honestly believe he would have been competitive against Floyd? I think not! The fact is Robert Garcia has fine tuned him and made him more of a thinker slugger instead of just a wild slugger with no gas. Maidana always had stamina issues in the past, i still think he has a little problem with his stamina but not as bad as it used to be. As of now Maidana would smash Kotenik, Khan and Devon.
