if i could go out of america, i would choose my first country to meet , japan or china.. well.. japan.. of course.. because its so cool.. i like the street food.. i liek watching it being prepared.. and they always put a lot of vegetables, i luv vegetables..i liek the practicity.. the fast food.. also, there must be a lot of different places there.. a lot of candies to buy.. i like how the pakages r so colorful.. and its fun.. whats a best suvenier than candies to people.. its so interesting..

I had this grand uncle in Beihai, China who loved cooking, and when he retired, he had set up a street vendor just so he had something to do. While I was over there. He showed me how to cook while I tried to make him a Mexican fajita taco (nuts trying to find the meat for this as well as the sour cream)(BTW he loved it). Batter: whisk soy milk, soybean flour, and white flour (ratio:2:3:3); whisked egg added when cooking Vegetables: Lettuce(pick out tender leaves at market),cilantro(diced) Sauce: Tian Mien Jiang(lit: 'sweet noodle sauce', a fermented soybean sauce), spice oil(szechuan pepper oil){optional} Crisp: Yo Tiao (fried dough found in china town markets){if you try to make this, good luck, i failed} 1) get out a BIG sauce pan 12" pour oil, swivel pan to ensure full coverage of oil. Oil makes sure the batter does not stick onto the pan when removing and sears the batter to make it crispy so don't hesitate about it. 2) pour batter just enough to cover the pan. Remember your base is a CREPE and NOT a pancake. After it thickens a bit pour the contents of the whisked egg. 3) Cook until color changes to a light yellow(very fast) Take out by using a scraper, a fork may help guide. Flip and let cook for 3 counts (you don't want raw egg) 4) Shut off heat, take out, put on a large plate. Fold lower edge of circle to touch the center, press. 5) Add the Tian Mien Jiang with a butter knife, dip and lightly apply 3 inches either side of center (where the vegetables will go ) 6) 2 leaves lettuce, stick one or more Yo Tiao depending on size, add some more TM Jiang sauce on yo tiao, sprinkle cilantro liberally, add szechuan oil (don't overapply). 7) fold tightly, (don't try to crush the yo tiao) ...done reply with what you think when you tried this recipe, would love to hear about it.

Your very lucky you did not get sick from this. She did not use gloves, handling money, handling food. She had no ill will, but some country side people brush hygiene off as a superstition. I highly advise you be careful when eating at the stands, always check them out first.

Not just Chinese, it can apply to any race. If you eat out at restaurants, they don't have time to wash the kitchenware everytime when they're done with a dish...they just reuse them. Just that you can't see how things go in the kitchen.
