I had a pool before and it was too much maintenance but then again, I was also not retired so might be different after I retire. 😊

Yes, that's true. Actually I look forward to taking care of it. Keeps me moving and busy. Might not feel that way in 10 years.

The projects are unending! 😂🤣 That's one of the nice things about retirement; you can stay as busy as you want 😉 Since we'll be at the condo in Metro Manila this next week, I'll be doing some shelving projects for the house kitchen at my in-law's house. I never experience 'retirement boredom' 😂🤣

Good update. You should use that sealer that you used for your parking area on the part of the house at the end of the video that you said you was going to paint behind your water tank. Although your parking area is covered so not sure if it would work to keep the mold down. Was also curious about your pool filters. Our above ground pool has a filter at the pump so was wondering what size your filters were that are on the coping there between the pool and the house (you pointed to the two I believe). Congratz on 3 years in the Philippines to Wilma and you! How old is Prince now? He looks full grown already. You are really cranking out the projects now and can tell you are excited about seeing them get done! Thanks for the update, Wilma and Greg...Jim

My girlfriend Belen and I have voted your home as the best we have looked at. I will arrive in Cebu Aug 18. I hope we can arrange to meet you both. We will visit Dumaguete. We are going slow to be sure of our relationship. But we do look at homes and such for planning for like 2026. Appreciate your site.

Greg, I know you'll be giving an update on the new build next door, but what is the status of the property on the other side of your home where there's that large cazebo out in the field. I'm really curious to see if there has been any headway on it. Lastly, I just broke ground on my homestead in Pinamungahan Cebu on June 1st, just left last Saturday back to Korea for work. I will return at the end of July for follow-up on the property and every month after that. I'm just seeing if I can catch lunch with you and Wilma's to get your opinion and experience on my build. Just let me know, Beverly and I are excited to have the opportunity to finally meet.

Love your videos and made a few inquiries about land to build a very modest house and 3-4 different sellers of land must think I am a trillionaire. They keep trying to sell me the most expensive and over priced land on the planet that I do not need. Waste of my time and theirs, but I guess I am learning that PI folks think all Americans hang out with Donald Trump. 8)

Regarding the pool, was any thought given to adding a "pool sweep" or automatic vacuum? I have a Polaris 280 on my current pool in California and it reduces the need to manually vacuum. Never seen a pool sweep in PI so not sure if they are available. Thanks for the video. I enjoy following along and happy Anniversary!

As a tiler, the way you are arranging your tiles in car port does not make sense, why are you not tiling the whole car port? The way you are doing it will result in the tile edges getting damaged on the lip edge due to the difference in height, you should seriously consider tiling the whole floor or you will end up regretting it.

You don't lay tiles like that. You find the two centerlines and start your tiling from those lines ... ie the middle. Otherwise you end up with a horrible looking asymmetric amateur job. You trim the peripheral outside row and column equal amounts = symmetry.
