@Lopyt *Sir_Guy* Music There's so many different types of house though, probably most of edm is some type of house and there's soooo much diversity in there. It could be even more diverse than metal, who knows, I for sure don't and I like all types music including metal and house.
@AGKyran
4 жыл бұрын
@Lopyt *Sir_Guy* Music Well... to each one his opinion. Personally metal rapidly bothered me, there's a crazy number of bands who sounds very similar, so apart from a few exceptions, metal isn't my thing. It never felt that diverse for me. So I found my solace in progressive rock. Simply because it's a music genre where people experiment a lot and where I can rely to the lyrics, who often are kinda cryptic but when analyzed, talk about things that are actual. Even though progressive rock us kinda dead, it was a shock to me when I realized this groups from the 60-70 talked about pollution, corruption, and about things most of us go through. Sometimes in a kind of dark humour. Like the song Harold the Barrel from Genesis. The story of the song is about a man that is on a roof, about to jump and kill himself. His mother comes after a moment, saying "if your father was here he'd be very very upset", and after that "your shirt is all dirty, there's a man from the bbc". It's deeply ironic somehow. The song more generally talks about how people always find something to criticize. Progressive rock is really my kind of music. I like some songs of metal, but well, for me it turns around the image. I think people play metal mostly because of how they're seen in society, because of frustration. It wouldn't had an imagery so dark and so much screams/guttural voices if it wasn't to relieve something, or just to be taken more seriously. Even though I admit it's not always the case, it seems to that it's where the metal finds its roots. I may be wrong. I don't say it is like that, it's just how I feel it is.

I am a "composerily" then hahaha I was raised with metal head parents 😊❤️ but I caught the house bug as a little tiny millennial surrounded by the late 90s lmao I am also Puerto Rican tho and so listening to a vast variety of genres is not very weird for me since what we traditionally listen to in our own culture already has a heavy mix of Latin/afro-Caribbean/European influences. All music genres overall are absolutely fascinating to me, and can all be manipulated to fit one's inner groove.
