Lady Aphelion you can buy lactose free cows milk so you can get a close enough flavor. I have a cousin who is lactose intolerant and it tasted pretty good when we made hot chocolate with it! But you can experiment with almond milk to see how it tastes

May not taste the same but it's certainly not bad either: See while I am not lactose intolerant, my grandmother is. I used to spend a lot of time with her when I was little and whenever she made cocoa it was with soy milk. Which personally I found to be delicious too. In fact, just pure soy milk is delicious. I prefer it over pure normal milk to be honest. (well except for the milk fresh from the farm, but you rarely have that available)

The filipino version of champurado is "asianified" and by that I mean it has rice 😂

Wow that was awesome I just saw Coco in theaters last Saturday with a friend and I absolutely loved it the music the culture was truly amazing, I'm half Mexican and half Portuguese buut I brace more of my Mexican side way more then Portuguese soo ya I love being Hispanic its part of my culture. I also love Dia de los Muertos its my favorite as well

Every morning before my siblings and I go to school, our aunt would buy us some champurrados to warm ourselves up and have something sweet before starting a full long day of learning. Which I really appreciate that cause I love chocolate and I love a drink that is warm instead of drinking a cold drink on a chilly morning. 😄😄 Not only that, when I purchase the movie Coco, I will make some champurrrados for my family and drink up while watching this amazing movie. 😊😍🍿☕️🍫

Something I always loved as a kid before going vegetarian, was Tacos de Sesos. Or brain tacos, it sounds weird, but it was a confort food as a kid. I saddly got sick about age 16, and I couldn't eat meat, and today the meat smell makes me sick. But if you are not vegetarian or vegan, by all means, try those tacos.

I went to see "Coco" late in the run to catch it while it was still in theaters. I was surprised to see that the theater was packed! There were lots of Latino families with kids and there were only 3 seats at mid-day left four weeks into the run. It was fantastic!
