The Voices Behind Disney's Coco
Ойын-сауық
Get ready to celebrate Día de los Muertos! The voice actors of Coco bring this beautiful film to life with their energetic and emotional performances. Take a look behind the scenes to see how the actors behind your favorite characters approached their roles. Some of them used their real life experiences and personal relationships to help inspire their performances! They truly gave it their all and it paid off on screen.
Anthony Gonzalez, Benjamin Bratt, and Gael García Bernal are just a few of the talented actors who provided their voices for this film. They all had a wonderful time working on the movie, and each actor brought a unique perspective to their characters.
Did you know Coco has an almost entirely all-Latino cast? The creative team behind the film did a ton of careful research and planning to create the world and story, which included picking the right cast. One of the main cast members was actually initially brought in to be the temporary voice of a character, but was given the role when the creators realized they were the perfect fit. Turns out it was the right choice!
There are some powerful and emotional scenes in Coco, which work so well due to the tremendous voice acting lent to the characters. One of these actors was actually crying when performing an emotional scene. It’s no wonder we were crying, too!
Which Coco actor do you think turned in the best vocal performance? And which Coco character would you like to see in the future? Let us know!

As a Mexican/American, I love how this movie shows Mexican culture so well, especially when it comes to preparations for El Dia De Los Muertos, and the lore behind the celebration.
Amazing voice cast 🎊🎉

6 years to complete? The casting and every detail they put into the finish product. Pixar keeps getting better
Bruhh i just watched this the other day and cried like a waterfall when Miguel sang for Coco. Cried more than for my own grandma.
Alanna Ubach who plays Mama Imelda in this movie is half-Mexican and half-Puerto Rican and took French in high school and since she took French in high school I wonder if she has ever traveled to France or Canada and also since she took French in high school, I would have loved to see her play Esmeralda if Disney was to do a live action remake of The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
Coming here to see that Cassie & Lexis mom from Euphoria really is Mama Imelda!!😍😭

Sadly, this was John Lasseter's last film he ever produced at Pixar before being "metoo'd" over dubious reasons(though in reality, it was really just an excuse that was used so the lefty woksters could gain control over the projects Lasseter himself greenlit into production because he wouldn't let the writers and animaters run all willy nilly inserting politics and other subversively disturbing crap into his projects and others). But at the same time, I guess one can say Lasseter went out with a bang on 'Coco'!
