Making Sword of the Medieval Kingdom
This sword was inspired by drawing of an european medieval sword from my favourite book. My goal was to follow exact dimensions and weight of the original.
I am ready for another work :)
Hope you will enjoy the video :)

Fascinating yes, it takes skill and dedication to make a weapon. I can only imagine people of the past putting there skills to use for the nations they serve.

how brave are you? "hand ground fuller" oh so you BRAVE brave.
A Beauty of a sword indeed.
I love watching videos like these, I just wish they added captions that explain all the different steps.
What a marvellous creation. Good stuff.
Das ist ein beeindruckend führiges Schwert geworden! Jedem Ritter zur Ehre! Es scheint auch gut ausgewogen zu sein. Und gut aussehen tut's auch noch. Alles richtig gemacht!
The Dane Slayer 🤩
Thank you! this is beautiful work!
I can only imagine how much time and effort went into making that sword, plus that blood groove done by hand on the grinder was impressive! Most other blacksmiths would use some type of jig and you did it freehand. It's time to start stamping your mark on your work, it's definitely top notch!

man it is called a fuller not a blood groove
Yes! Ohhh you did it man I was waiting for this since I saw you buy and restore the power hammer! Nice one really liked it!
Beautiful work . Very creative and very satisfying I'm sure
Tremendous work!
That is awesome. The best forging I've ever seen
I am stunned at how expertly you formed that blade from the very start. We can see the central ridge forming as you hammer the metal.
Nice one! Love it!
Wonderful work of art.
parabens a peça ficou perfeita
Ain't that a beauty? Kudos, my friend
Excellent work.
A lot of work to making a longsword with modern tools. Now imagine how many time is spend to making this sword in medieval era.

And back then the starting metal would have had to be made from ore and then forged using a coal forge

Sorry to disappoint you but this sword, now matter how skilled Marek is, would most likely not be used in medieval times. The guard seems to be too long, it would probably do for a one and half sword and so would the handle, but the blade is long enough for an arming sword based on what I see. I am not a hater, I am a blacksmith myself and it is still cool but it does not seem to look like European swords that were actually used in combat. Sorry. He made a good job though. :-)
Piękny its beautiful

I'd highly recommend to put steel blocks underneath of the brass sheet during the milling mate.. anyway the sword is beautiful
A Crusader would be Honored to wield such an object.
Man ur my favourite sword maker can u pls make a kaeambit knife pls
I don't know how you have the confidence to do your quench after you make the handle and fittings. If the blade failed, you'd lose so many hours of work. Still, it turned out beautiful.
nice
Ouh. Love this ^^ But get some chains and wrap them around your anvil to dampen that intense ping you get when you strike it. helps your ears out alot.

Thank you for advice 😊
wow
Nice but I think the handle needs to be more refined. The space between the guard and the handle itself needs to be more flushed with the guard. The handle itself is a bigger diameter than the spacers. Imo. Not sure if that was done on purpose but it's a nice piece.
What you do is amazing you definatly have a sub from me your videos have given me a lot of pleasure watching thank you forposting

I cried alittle when he decided not peen the guard in place permanently. But a beautiful piece, nonetheless.
