Just thought I'd try some prop making, thank you for all the support! I'd love to do more like this in the future sometime, so if you have any ideas hmu.

Hey Miscast, I reckon you'd make a great book case diorama alleyway thing, you know the ones I'm talking about - the miniature alleyway inbetween your books. Love to see your spin on that. Bonus points for goblins.

I absolutely love the pikmin video games, my dream is to have a bunch of 3d printed pikmin options and animals to make dioramas

In case that you want to make a few more mandrakes how about some with worms or bites taken out of them. As for other sculpting ideas maybe a homuculus in a flask maybe with some alchemical apparatuses or a rat King would be disgusting but also cool and if you managed to turn it into a mini like the cultist it could make an interesting addition to the Nurgel army. A undead trilobite could be cool Fossilies of ancient marine life reanimated by a necromancer to swarm his foes a bit like the scarab swarms of the necrons.

How about a 40k cherub? Even just in a similar size as these. Seems like a cool thing to make/have to me.
Those mandrakes have so much character. You can almost hear their grumpy little voices: "Luv footy. Luv me pot. Luv screamin'. Simple as."
This is one of the best places on the Internet. Just such a good vibe, incredible creativity and such a high production quality to tie it all together. I'd watch you create anything as long as you were passionate about it. I also feel like this is a sculpting project that's something I could reasonably try as a first step into clay sculpting. You break down the steps so well. Keep doing your thing man, this is great.

I didn’t know either but now I realized I do.
"I'm really channeling some chuff dad energy right now" Hell yeah you are, and we're here for it
I'll be honest, I had seen this video title and thought,"This is a one-time prop for any game, why would you etc. etc." And then I remembered: oh, right- you can just make something because it's fun to make something and because it makes you happy. Thanks, Trent.
Yeah this rules so hard. I'll be making some with my daughters while we're in lockdown.

That's really great to hear! Send pictures if you do!
Ohh my... You are literally my inspiration couch. Every time I watch your stuff, Im like "Oki doki, I'm standing up and going to do some cool stuff"
I'm so pleased at how pleased you are with these little rooty boys
I think a shirt with "Chuffed dad" and your mandrake triplets on it is the right call.
We’ve got channels like this highlighting their exceptional talent and hard work getting under 30k views and then we have channels with 5 minute videos speaking ill of people hitting 1 Mil. So sad. I subscribed. Your work is beautiful.
Thub, Bub, and Grub grew up so fast. Excellent build and video m8
"Nothing looks more like dirt as dirt."
To get your mandrakes to grow, you need to water them and make sure that their roots are deeply embedded in the terf. Those are cracking sculpts, and the detail on the pots is really cool. I like how you used the sculpey to colour the pieces. Your joy with your creations is so infectious. 🤗
I never know what I'll get with a Miscast video but they are all wonderful.
I'm 10 seconds in and I am already engrossed and want to make my own!
These look awesome! I think for people who might be circumspect of using actual dirt, I recommend coarse grinding some coffee and adding some random bits of stuff in it. From up close it'll smell like coffee, but hey, it works!
So relaxing. I like. Pls do more of this. or just anything more random. Seeing you be happy about your creation makes me happy. Love
I feel like those plastic lizards and alligators have gone through whole character arcs over the course of your channel. They seem to make cameo appearances in every other video. Keep up the good work, man, I love your content.
Oh my gosh, the scullery iii in the box takes me back. I used to spend hours upon hours stacked upon even more hours working with that stuff making all kinds of tiny figurines long before I ever found out that miniatures even existed. Good days.
Nice! Thank you for this tutorial!!! I love the mandrakes, too. And the garden gnomes. My granddaughter and I love to quote Jim Dale's Audible version of the gnomes yelling, "Get off me! Get off me!" lol
I legit just come back to KZread for the weekly miscast video. Best channel On KZread for sure
I'm not interested in I'd say one third of the things you make, but your skill AND enthusiasm still makes me watch
The bit about the labels was very helpful
So many small touches that really elevated these from 10 to 11. The fake plant weathering, the labels, the actual dirt. It's been amazing seeing your growth as a maker as much as a creator, Trent. Really well done.

Everyone loves mandrakes!
chuffed dad energy Miscast is best Miscast
Wasn't expecting the turn into full scale props, but loved this video as always!
there are only a few things in life that bring as much joy as creating an angry potato
Not gonna comment on the mandrakes themselves, but man, the energy, the creativity, the emotion you bring in to your work… that is just inspiring! So yeah. Thank you is all that comes to mind. Oh and also, I want a mandrake for my greenhouse!!!
I absolutely love these! Don't know where they'd go in my flat, but I love them nonetheless
Gaahhh I love these so much! They’re really excellent - well done my friend! I can just imagine one casually living between two real house plants 🪴

I don't think I need any of these in my life, but I can see that you do (and they look great).
Really one of my favorite videos by one of my favorite channels! So much fun watching you and your work!
Love these mandrakes, just furthering my want to get into sculpting or any art at all really. Awesome content as always :)

Do it! Trent tricked me into buying some basic sculpting tools and I have found it as an amazing outlet for creative energy I didn't know existed.
These are better then ALL the mandrakes I’ve seen for sale!
This has so inspired me to sculpt a nurgle demons army that's entirely full of mandrakes (as poxwalkers!) and other planty beasty things!

They are awesome little grumpy plants 🪴🪴🪴💜
Wow! Those look like I need a dozen of them and thank you insight on how take that shine out of the cheap plastic leaves. I will 100% be using that in the future.
The mandrakes turned out so darn cute!! And, the improvised tool thing is genuinely good advice - As someone who has used diamond-patterned magic erasers to add texture to dollhouse dry-wall... I can attest that the most interesting textures come from the cheapest/weirdest techniques!
I want to make my own!! Great video, pushing creativity in different directions. Plus this awesome morning shot with the sun rays and your hot coffee smoking was so beautiful.
This was genuinely really fun to watch! The content just keeps getting better and better! I was wondering, a venus fly trap sort of lamp would be really cool!
Fantastic little fellas Trent! I love the genuine warmth that suffuses all your work. Always a great, relaxing and entertaining watch.
Love them !
Loved this prop making episode! I think it'd be cool to see you make your own weird interpretation of some kind of monstrous little fairy (or other strange creature!) in an apothecary jar.
Maybe make lord of the rings props that would be epic
I LOVE MANDRAKES AS MUCH AS I LOVE YOU!, this is hell gnarly. really dig this type of content dude!

@@Miscast lol me too, but we're pros now
Those look amazing. I absolutely love them. Please make more. I love how beautifully grimy so many of the things you make come out.
Keep up the great work
Damn you hit this one out of the park. When people say super sculpey is easy to use though... stuff makes my hands cramp just from trying to soften it. I guess I'm just a rare one.

It can depend on how new it is, if its been on the shelf a while before you bought it in can take a LOT of conditioning to make it soft. The last batch I bought was REALLY easy to work with, but the one before was not. I hear the cool kids use pasta rollers for this reason, I haven't found an old one while thrifting yet though.

Damn, I may have bought an older packet then because this stuff was really hard to condition. May also have to look out for a pasta roller while thrifting too. Cheers for the reply.
Love when you upload!
