The thing is, the point of this video is that Danie is not being literal. See my note above, but really, she just adulted her friends' room and it's simply beautiful. Even if you are a simple witch, there's nothing here which would cause offense or even eye rolling. It's tasteful.

I love how subtle all of it is, there's Harry Potter details everywhere but they don't overwhelm the room and work so well together. I really love those flying keys hanging from the ceiling fan, that's such a cute touch!

@@theonebeam I politely have to intervene here, a witch or a wizard "has" one patronus form, but they can conjur multiple personal protectors at once, if they are exceptionally able... And yes I agree with you Minerva was and still is a witch with exceptional abilities! I excuse myself now and sincerely hope that I haven't stepped into the well hidden trap of accidental rudeness...

This really made me smile, beginning to end... the end results were truly spectacular. I myself am doing a HP makeover of my bedroom and I have gone another route. Less classy, more 'this could literally be a room in that world', so no movie memorabilia per se, but aged looking potion bottles on shelves, tapestries on the walls, and aged wooden furniture... This would be my absolute next best option tho.

this room is amazing, the nod to the fandom is perfectly subtle and obvious! also kudos to you for actually crediting the artist behind the prints properly!

I really really love the finished room, it definitely looks like an adult version of a Harry Potter/Hogwarts bedroom. I am sad that a lot of the collectibles that were in the glass rated cabinet for instance, were not included in the bedroom. I agree, it would have made it look rather busy, but I still miss them.

I've never understood why people hang empty frames on a wall... Would it not have been better to have pictures inside some of those frames at least, to imitate the artwork in the castle where the various painted characters visit different paintings?

I am a proud member of the Harry Potter fandom and I want this room!!! 😍 I belong in Hufflepuff and my patronus is an Abraxan. My favorite Characters are: Luna Lovegood, Remus Lupin, Hermione Granger and Draco Malfoy.

LOVE this. You were absolutely right about the quidditch looking lamps and the rug that reminds of Hedwig!

Neville and Tonks. Neville is so underrated, and seems in my opinion to be one of the strongest characters. Tonks is just a legend. She is so funny, especially when read by Stephen Fry! Lovely video - adore your energy!!

Diane, this is my absolute favorite makeover you have ever done. I think we all carry a little bit of childlike fantasy in our souls..... and you were able to find the perfect middle ground for this room. It is impossible for me to choose a favorite piece. But what I did LOVE were all the accent touches, like the flying keys, lamps and the frame wall. These were all combined with more "mature" furniture and bedding. Just WOW!

This came out sooooo beautifully and so elegant! I love that it didn’t scream “I’m an HP fan!” but rather it was more like a respectable nod with a little wink. You know?! Lol Favorite parts of the room? Omg idk where to start! I love the bird cage lamps, the frames on the wall, and the flying keys! But really everything was wonderful!! So fun to watch.
