Growing up my whole life of shoetown USA (Haverhill MA) it amazes me to see what our ancestors did on a daily basis. I see all the old shoe buildings either being torn down or renovated into apartments and condominiums makes me think of the buzz in the community with all the banging and sewing machines etc. What a time it must have been to live in.

That's right. It's a very unfortunate reality. Nowadays, in Korea, cafe startups are trending, and most of the old buildings have been renovated into cafes. That's why I moved my workshop to a rural area with nature. Thank you for your comment.

In this stamped-out world, it's very satisfying to watch a master craftsman make by hand something as complex as a pair of shoes, and make it so perfectly.

I grew up in the custom shoe making business and I thought I'ved seen it all, but I just learned some techniques here that just makes total sense. I can tell he is making them with passion.

You’re an amazing craftsman and an artist. These are beautiful and timeless. I love the technique of using masking tape to create almost perfect templates. So brilliant!

The shoes you make are just gorgeous I think. The time, patience, the details are so impressive and impeccable. What ever amount people pay you is not enough.

The patience in the artistry that goes into this, IS UNCANNY... I do tattoos and it comes very naturally to me. But I can't even comprehend the process of how Terry makes his shoes?....I'm seeing it with my own eyes 👀and I still can comprehend it... Stunning shoes!

Such a true work of art! Incredible workmanship throughout the entire process. I love the details around the eyelets along with the stitch work. Also being custom fit to the customers foot they must feel great on the foot while walking. They have a old style to them and it looks great. The two tone color gives them a very unique design and fits the shoe very well. Thank you for sharing Mr Kim you craftsman is incredible.

I enjoyed watching you work on these shoes. They are beautiful.

This is just fulfilling. I love your work. I fell in love with hand-shoe crafting when I was only 10. 25 years later, I am deeper in lover. I could not get a school in my home country, so I had to follow a different field of study. I am now in my first year of PhD in Applied Economics, but I still spend lot of time watching these kinds of videos for fulfilment. When I am done here, I will definitely go to shoe-making school abroad to fine-tune my self-taught skills into a professional.
