Hello! I’m currently trying to make a pair of granny square pants for myself and using the ones you made as a sort of blueprint, and I was wondering if you know how wide the waistband is with just the granny squares and no decreasing stitches? I have a much wider waist and I’d like to know if I should prepare myself for making the pants in rows of 4 instead of 3 like yours. Even just knowing the size when laid down flat helps

Based off of what was shown, yes. The lions brand big twist might be a mix of majority acrylic, but you should be fine using exclusively acrylic

I used pants that I already owned and measured it up to that.

Hi I was wondering how you sewed the two squares in one together. I’m having a bit of trouble figuring out how to sewing them together 😅

I just used a needle and sewed them together. Put your needle through one loop of crochet in one square and another loop of crochet in the other square and repeat. Hope that helps. You can also crochet slip stitch if that is easier.

I made the pants and they came out wonderful. I wish I knew how to add a picture.

I am trying to make a pair of shorts for my husband using closed granny squares. I'm guessing that you just see up so far for the crotch area? When everything is sewn together, do you add on your yarn for the waist and the start decreasing? One more question please (I'm sorry). How do you make the drawstring? Is that a separate piece and you sew it in the waist somehow? Thank you so much. I really enjoyed watching this video and I'm sorry for all of the questions. ❤️

Just a tip, the yarn will always say the size hook you need to use :)

I am having trouble making the waistband and I like the one you make. Also want to know how you joined the squares in the crotch area. I would appreciate it if you can assist me. Thanks!

I sewed the squares together but you can also use a slip stitch. The waste band takes a bit of trial and error to be honest. What I did was three rows of double crocheted and I decreased as needed.

7x7 across all the squares would add quite a lot in total. You could maybe stitch together with a different stitching to add size. Or add a row of double down the leg seems which would look cool.

How many squares for each different color combinations should I make for the pants?

looks like a traditional granny square so if you look up a pattern for that you should be good!!!

Yeah! There just a basic granny square but with the colors change the first row the second row and the fifth row!

I charged $75 but I personally think that is a little to low considering how much effort I put into them. I see most people sell them for $160

@@saravilawan don’t take this the wrong way lol, but I definitely think you should be charging much more. As a fellow crochet I’ve seen people sell stuffed bees for over 50 dollars, so in my opinion, pants should be at least over 100. Don’t sell yourself short!
