Making Galaxy Resin Rings with Junk Wood
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
In today's video, Patrick Adair uses resin and wood to cast a block for making rings. The color pigments and pearlescent powders make the resin portion of the ring really stand out, and the maple burl used adds contrast and a natural touch.

Patrick Adair Designs i am a machinist by trade so mostly larger scale parts and seeing your videos makes me want to get a smaller lathe and make rings most likely out of wood

Resin is mixed by volume, not weight ratios. A and B, typically have different densities.

You ought to try to make a ring with alcohol wood, a very interesting look. I know with your very creative mind you'll know exactly what to use with it. That would be cool to see. You make perfect men's rings. You have a good eye for that. I just have to decide which ones to get my son, he'd LOVE your rings.
Can I ask what size that ring was? Or was it more of a test piece. Love your work
Only this man here could take something discarded and make it into the perfection at the end
you’re rings are awesome/ but who did you make this ring for a giant ;) it’s huuuge. Jokes I get why you did that regardless it’s gorgeous. Keep on keeping on, your production values are off the charts.

hey Patrick. Wow! It looks absolutelly awesome! I love your videos your work, you are very cool guy. You do it very professional. I love music in your videos. Can I ask where I can find it?
Great videos, what kind/type of pressure pit do you use? How long does the resin stay in the pot? What is the slowest you run your lathe? Thanks for the videos.
have been enjoying your videos. one question, what type of lathe are you using? Thanks,
it was great
Cool...
Hey what does the orange stripe in your logo stand for?
i think maybe it will look more galaxy when there's spots of white of it. But it's amazing though. looking forward for more of your videos
I think you should make a ring that looks like it has the infinity stones on it! I love your videos
This was uploaded on my birthday, hehe
What if tried to make a ring like the one in this video, but using glow powders instead of pigments. Like a nebula? That'd be so awesome. I love your videos by the way. First time commenting, but I'm a long time fan.
I really like your videos, TKOR is how I found you!
Love the vids
This is an interesting ring. The resin looks nice, but I feel like you could have given the wood some type of stain or finish, rather than just the CA glue. Cool ring though.
Hi Patrick - do you have a how to video on purchasing your blanks and making it your own?
Hope my rings ships out soon
That riiiiing I love iit
3 years later and i'm still in awe of this amaaaazing ring. I always dreamt of having sumthing like this when i have the money LMAOO
very nice my friend can you tell me what polish you use? thank you
i wonder if you can make a beautiful accessories out of a tamahagane or japanese jewel steel, fyi: this material may be quite tricky as it is still containing clumps of impurities, which is supposed to be purified during forging process into metal bars, which is then forged japanese blades... i thought it would be quite a challenge and assuming things went alright, we might have a new addition to the collection...
First Love. Hansel must watch
What's the intro song it sounds so good! Also, the ring looks so good!
Teach me the way of the ring maker. Honestly this would be the best hobby and you could make goo money, so please teach me and others who want to too.
will you put a bismuth inlay in a ring i love bismuth and it has a great color
This is awesome!! Does anyone know where I can buy the Machine that he use? or what is the the name of the machine? I want to make a similar one but i don't have the machine :(
This man is a genius
It's been 3 days and when I touch my resin it's like a thick liquid although the mold itself seems like kinda solid like jello. I filled 2 cups up to the same mark but I didn't scrap after mixing them. Could that be it? The resin was also stored in the cold for a couple months before use idk if that is why
I Recently saw a King Of Random video where grant worked with alloying brass and aluminum. the results were beautiful and unique. please try working with this material.
What is the difference between vacuuming out the air or pressurizing it to get rid of the bubbles?
What does glow powder do say if it was green and you added purple pigment to it? Does it change the green color to more purple? Or does it just like darken the green?
What kind of compounds do you use for polish?
Hey man! I love you’re channel! If would be so cool if you would glue LEGO pieces together and take it to the water jet channel and then make a LEGO ring!! Or you could sharpen many coloured pencils and keep the shavings and put them in a resin and vwalla! A pencil shavings ring
Have you been to Michigan in nice in the summer
