Making Fused Glass Easter Eggs! | Hand Painted Easter egg Magnets | Painting on fused glass

In this week's Fused Glass Friday video I'm working with Mayco Stroke and Coat Underglazes to achieve the look of handprinted Easter eggs. I think they turned out awesome and can't wait to see how they sell at the end of the month!
All glass is COE 96 compatible and fired using the auto settings in my Skutt kiln, unless otherwise stated.

I use a different gel color concentrate that is meant for ceramics but I use on glass. You can also sift clear power over it and fuse if you want to make it shiny on other pieces.

I don’t know much about glass fusing but I do about ceramics! Wonder glaze is typically fired to about 1800 -1900 degrees which i think is hotter than glass (according to google). I would assume if the glass got hotter the wonder glaze would mature more.

Oooo yeah that’s probably why it gets the “crunchy” texture, but the glass doesn’t want to be that hot!

I would use glass paints. But I think they are beautiful.

Thanks! Which glass paints do you use? I find glassline still has a rough texture

Adorable ❤. Do you have a suggestion on what type of magnet to use? Some of the ones I’ve tried didn’t hold to the glass so they fell off and broke. The glass pieces were small like your eggs. Thank you!

Thanks! That sounds like an adhesive issue instead of a magnet issue. I have had success in the past with e6000, but have recently switched to Hxtal
