    I've worked at a flower shop for 5 years and this was so entertaining and relatable. During valentines,mothersday or party's we work overtime and do alot of the same recipies over and over. And you start to get delirious and kinda quirky. That's when funny things start coming out and it just made me smile thinking about those endless recipies and kinda "loosing your mind". But getting through it . Ugh valentines is in 2 weeks .... haha .

    Thank you for the walkthrough Nicole. Next time, try adding your stems at an angle, almost horizontally, and then turning your bunch about 90 degrees when creating your bouquets. Girl, it will make a HUGE difference. Michael Gaffney is a fabulous resource for this. Also, when you're rubber banding the bouquet, just start by banding one single stem, then wrap it around the whole bunch a few times, and latch your finish with another single stem. Super easy and causes less damage and (eek) frustration. Loving your videos, flower friend. Keep up the momentum! You rock! Cowan Flowers - Guernsey, WY - Zone 4b - I'd love to chat sometime :-)

    For a beginner, they look BEAUTIFUL! I wouldn't know if you didn't tell me! 😉 I can't wait to start seeds here in a couple months! I ordered a ton of zinnias, rudbeckia, sunflowers, calendula, celosia, asters, Snapdragons, bachelor buttons, Cosmos, Amaranth, carnations, lisianthus, and lots of fillers like the explosion grass, love in a mist, queen Anne's lace, dusty Miller, Cress, honeywort, & basil! I know your putting out a lot of videos right now, but I'd love to see a video on how you decide where to put certain things in your garden. I'm struggling to decide where to put everything! I'm thinking of height, water requirement differences, color blocking, succession planting, etc.!!! I don't know if I should plant all of my 1st succession plantings of say, snapdragons, sunflowers, zinnias, etc. All in one bed, then start another bed for the next succession, & so on, or should I plant all of my zinnias in 1 bed, leaving room for the next successions...?!?! Can you help?

    Nicole, I found a site for you to read regarding the “allergic” reaction to lilies. After reading this article you’ll understand why you became so tired it’s most likely because you were sniping off the pollen heads which is the culprit of allergies to them. P.S. : absolutely love your channel and your hilarious 🤣 silliness. You “rock”.... my husband and I watch your channel every morning before I get ready and go off to work. It inspires my and puts me in a relaxed mind set. 😊😀🐔 Check our ask.extension.org the site for more information on allergic reaction to lilies and other plants 🌱.

    I’m growing lilies but I have to cut out the centers because of my allergies and because I don’t want the pollen on my antique linens. Do most people in the flower business remove them once open? Have you grown the green sunflower? How close do you plant your sunflowers? We have extreme heat and humidity so I’m struggling on how close to plant to get the longest stems but without causing disease from lack of air flow. Is there a ratio of how much filler to grow? I don’t have a business but I’d like to once I figure out what works for me. Do you grow Chocolate lace flower ‘Dara’ ? How do I keep it from curling into itself? Your bouquets are beautiful and I’m glad you’re sharing your process because I have low to no confidence in my skills. Do you create a recipe for your bouquets based on price points? Are there any flowers that you dip in boiling water or singe with a flame? Can mullet be used in flower bouquets? Sorry for so many questions! Thanks for your time!! Do you supply a vase with each bouquet you sell?

  • @FlowerHillFarm

    @FlowerHillFarm

    4 жыл бұрын

    Yes, the centers are removed from most arrangements, but the customers would have to remove them on buds that aren't open yet. I did not grow the green this year-- but my friend Gina did. They are awesome. My sunnies are 4-6 inches apart. Grow mostly filler-- at least 60%. No Dara....I do have a "recipe" in my head based off the USDA wholesale price list that is available on Google and then you make changes for retail. I do not supply vases unless there is a special request!
