I have a plotted out story, not a strict script (something more of a tightly plotted model). And I am laying out 10 pages at a time and then going straight to the art board because I know I will spend forever in the world building and development process and never get started. OMG That's a great question!😃 The font size I use will change depending on what font style I'm using AND how large the scans of my pages are (what dpi I scanned my pages at). You'll need larger font sizes for a larger file size, you know?🖊📃 (I'll cover this in a future video about preparing files for printing). My advice would be to watch my video about speech bubbles to learn how much dialogue should fit into a speech bubble ☺🗯 With that knowledge you'll be able to change up the size of the font according to what looks best for your page and the size of your speech bubbles 👍

Publishers require that your files be 300 dpi the SMALLEST and 600 dpi the LARGEST 👍 You'll need to ask them for measurments for your files so you can create a template for your pages (though some will provide you with one). And lastly, have a program that will convert files to PDFs since that is the format printers need 😊 I will cover this in FULL detail soon! 👍

@@MyMangakaLIFE : Thanks a tonne for the reply :-) I asked this question because often times, when I am drawing smaller details like the eyes, even at 600 dpi, they tend to get pixelated. It completely ruins the image :'( I so look forward to your ideas on this problem !

I really like your drawing method, I always draw a thumbnail for a page and then ink and it really doesn't help after the long run. 😆😆😆

OMG I’SOOOO EXCITED TO HEAR THAT!!😭💖💖💖 I hope you’ll have a great time!! Stay patient- they take some practice to get used to but oooooh is it worth it!! (I’ll have a video up about how to use them soon!) and the answer your question, you MIGHT want to stick to the smaller bottle for now because India ink can spoil if not used within a year (sometimes it doesn’t, sometimes it does). In one of my “ 12 Artist Life Hacks” videos (I have 2) I talk about what to do when the ink is started to age and clot. This will help when the ink is starting to get old BUT hasn’t spoiled and doesn’t smell like rotten eggs lol

Hey I have a question and I hope its ok when I ask this. So far as I understand you earn enough money for your living with only the job of a mangaka. What makes me a bit curios is which money sources you have since I don't think only the selling of your books is enough for your living or? Would be really nice if you would answer me that since I'm planning also on being a mangaka one day but also I'm trying to find ideas of earning enough money so that I can live from it without the help of an addittional non-related job. In other words I dont want to become it just a "hobby" cause I dont earn enough money with it.

I just commented a long comment but it's gone for some reason. I basically said that I am a mangaka and I have deadlines for sunday (I have to finish 15 pages) and it's midnight and I'm not going to sleep for a couple of days but your videos are giving me energy to stay up the nights.
