This video was another process video to launch our return to KZread! Watch how I take a simple clay pipe and bring it to life through the process of ceramics! Look forward to future content including selling to smoke shops and even working with glass to compare it to ceramic!

I think you're right about ceramic pipes. Especially for exceptional pieses. I feel like, with the extremely high prices that some glass pipes can attract; I can totally see artists investing their time, effort, &skill... as well hopefully being able to invest in unique, high end, interesting, & unfortunately sometimes expensive materials... And being able to carve out a big market for ceramic pipes of all different price ranges, in the not distant future. Very cool work! I'm impressed & feeling inspired after watching that video. Keep up the great work & please keep posting the "how to" ceramic videos with interesting ideas! Thanks

Nate D. I’ll be selling molds at the end of March. When I upload the next video on how to make a mold you’ll see the molds available on my site, just changing the site for selling materials and what not. If you want to buy one of my finished pipes you can go to my Etsy at CSWArtworks

How do you account for shrinkage when making bowls?

Krancky it’s pretty hard to, like here this doesn’t account for it but it still works with glass.

@@Ceramicsmokeware I guess the cone shape as long as it's roughly the right size will fit any glass. I was just curious if you molded them a bit bigger than the socket to insure this, or if you have any tips. I'm beggining the journey of making molds, and selling ceramic bongs/pipes myself through our pottery studio, and it's a little daunting 😂

Krancky you could for sure do that if you can figure out how to make something that’s say 10% bigger and still the same shape.

@@Ceramicsmokeware don't gotta worry too much about my family--the only ones I care about would love it! And I'm sure it will be rough, but I've still got a couple years before graduation (double majoring), so I should have some footing before then, if I'm lucky. My partner and I have already talked about how we need to save for at least a kiln

@@aritheninjaxd yeah that mentality is a good start. I would also mention to get a used older kiln because you can get them under 400 and they last forever with occasionally needed replacement coils. Let us know how it goes when the time comes. Thanks for your interest.
