Love,Love, Love,these cars. My neighbor had 2 of them in his garage before he passed away. Every once in awhile he would invite me to go with him to "melt the rubber of the Goodyears" (his words). I miss that guy and those Grand Nationals.

Basically the same car different engine

My dad owned a Buick Grand National. Nothing like the feeling of being pinned to the back sheet as he put the petal to the metal. In its prime he raced it on the dragway and I’ve seen at least one of the front tires come off the ground with the original V6 engine turbo charged. Good memories!

If the Porsche 911 930 Turbo didn’t exist, I would 100% agree with you. The 930 comes at a close second for me.

That was a ton of tire shine, I guess that I need to take it easy on my car.

Now THIS is the kind of video that got me interested in the channel to start with over a year ago. Not a minute or two here and there about work done to a car and then filled with misc shop happenings. Yet really seeing a video dedicated to one car and what they do to it start to finish. Great work on this one.

Me too . My friends grandfather gave him his grand national for his 18th birthday. It had 85,000 Km’s on it. I was maximum jealous !

i had a 79 buick regal turbo coupe v6 not many of those were made wish i still had it the Grand national is my dream car i built a model of it when i was a teenager loved it ever since

I had one of these in 84 when I was in the Air Force, used to pull it under the shade and wash it and put Mother's Wax on it didn't know jack about polishing or anything else back then, now I have almost every product made and a couple of polishers one a Rupes. How times change!

I got to drive one of these off the showroom floor when I was 19 and was grinning like a Cheshire Cat the whole time. They did a stellar job of getting it back to glossy.
