Making Big Power With A ProCharger F-1A-94 On A 427ci LSX

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

When you take an LSX-based 427 cubic-inch engine and add an F-1A-94 centrifugal supercharger, and allow Late Model Engines to tickle the keys, big things happen. The supercharger is rated at 1,300 horsepower, but apparently, LME didn't get that memo.

@Ronnie Wooddell The caption says lsx427 f1 procharger which is bad ass ls based motor. Obviously a 454 or 440 in an rv is a low rpm smogged out torque motor which even supercharged can't compare to a coyote.

I've managed to keep my 2006 Z06 stock. Now with 32,121 miles, I think I'm going to try one of the F series ProChargers. I'm wondering if it would be better to pull the original 427 small block out and build a LSR engine or stay with the stock 7.0L small block.

How far does LME recommend pushing the F1a-94 on a stock crank with forged rods/pistons? Currently running a D1x maxed out on a forged rods/pistons LS3 and considering moving to an F1a-94, but only shooting for 1100 rwhp or so.

@@slickcasner4205 Have you experienced this personally? I know people personally running well over 1000 rwhp with an LS3 block and an F1a-94, but they have a forged crank that is why I asked specifically about the crank. Doesn't mean their blocks aren't flexing as I'm sure there is some movement, but it hasn't caused any issue for them being drag raced for the last 2 years. Like I say though living at that level for 2 years doesn't mean there isn't flexing just not enough to take out mains or cause any other damage "yet".

I do a whole lot of traveling drag racing and rarely do we see ford power. You normally see ford's with SBC, BBC, or LS. I was just at a event where like 94 small tire cars were there and out of all the stangs that were there I think it was 3 ford engines out of 94 cars and the rest were Chevy and Chevy power won the event like usual. I am strictly Chevy but the problem I see with ford is they don't even have 1/2 the aftermarket offerings Chevy does. I call RFD and get custom built to order heads my bbc and sbc and Ford he offers 1 head and intake.

@jasonstormoen people prefer LS because of just that my man. Just more over all options. Cheaper and easier to work on. But if you don't care about the money and you're a die hard ford guy, the coyote will be more expensive but wins on power and performance every time even put up against the Larger LS
