Dr Sophie Carr is the founder and director of Bays Consulting. Sophie’s first love was Lego, then aeroplanes and her career followed suit. She trained as an engineer and whilst working full time took a PhD in bayesian belief networks and has worked in data analytics ever since. Or to put it another way, Sophie has made a living out of finding patterns. Outside of work, Sophie is the vice president for education and statistical literacy at the Royal Statistical Society and the World’s Most Interesting Mathematician.

Lucky those name will be written in History. Stories reshape the world.
If this were an art video then fair enough, I appreciate the poem/rhyming monologue however being so very unusual I was waiting for it to end to listen to her talk about statistics…unfortunately with every word that rhymed I was repeatedly disappointed. Also, this is so very clearly something which is only truly appreciated if you understand the statistics already; it just never got to an explanation. At the end, the question is…can you explain it please.

the whole thing being in rhyme makes me 1000 times less interested. Actively repelled in fact
