    Martin was absolutely phenomenal in this movie. What a great actor. Sissy too, as always.

    The greatest role for the greatest actors. Fabulous. I can see it over and over. Both were so natural in their roles. 1973 was a good year but Badlands made it so better. At any angle Martin was gorgeous and still is. And Sissy has always been to this day the most beautiful woman. I wish I could thank them for their acting skills because they took a role that the story line was horrific and yet you are so mesmerized by them that you cannot look away.

    One of the best films I've ever seen better than days of heaven or thin red line both of which were excellent. Sheen and Spacek were perfect in their roles. Images, music, script, all unforgettable. Fascinating to hear Martin Sheen's take on the factual origins of the story

    Martin Sheen OWNS every part he plays. He's a remarkable actor. I've been a fan since I first saw him in The Execution of Private Slovak. His portrayal of Private Slovak brought me to tears. I've been a fan ever since. He's a great narrator, too. I always recognize his voice!

    Kit and Holly were so hot together (despite the dastardly life they were leading). Sissy is so timelessly beautiful. Martin is such a fox, just like James Dean. I'm surprised he didn't mention the eerie resemblance. It is brought up twice in the film. That smile is killer. Plus, the two little amigos on the sidewalk are none other than Emilio and Charlie!

    The story as I've read it on IMDB was that she was told by a label - that she *had* talent, but was too similar to a singer already on their label for them to be interested- and that's who she ended up playing years later :)

    Charlie wasn't a serial killer, the FBI created the term spree killer because of him. The murder of the Bartlett's would also classify him as a mass murderer.

    right Starkweather killed because it thrilled him he hated people and society so he went on a blood spree and took a child with him Caril still maintains her innocence he was the only witness against her no physical evidence either

  • @aprilgosa5779

    @aprilgosa5779

    2 жыл бұрын

    he wasn't James Dean either and you only have to kill 3 to be serial killer so he does apply as that I have to relook up each one though Charlie is a mass killer for killing her family the wards and I think the others were single killings except King and Jensen which he got charged and executed for guess they figured we only need to kill the guy once and they were not Bonnie and Clyde Bonnie was complicit so was Holly Caril there is no real evidence against her except His word which is not reliable just saying

  • @aprilgosa5779

    @aprilgosa5779

    2 жыл бұрын

    Yes he is a spree killer he also dos fit the dictionary definition I found of Mass Killer so I guess he is lSpree killers have cool off period serial killers do not and while the amount is over the amount for a serial killer Starkweather may be even worse spree killers do not resume their normal lives in between killings the way serial killers do

  • @playsaboutmycat

    I agree, it was a killing spree, random people, and in a short time frame. The killing spree lacked the cooling off period or any of the ritualistic type of behaviors.

    Thanks for like. I'm assuming you realize I realize how old Martin really was in real life. Hard watching clips of him about his journey. Am I nuts in thinking he was supposedly insane just four years after when apocalypse now happens. If anybody remembers these years (was born in 1980 so don't exactly) can you recall if Martin was struggling with drinking in your understanding while working on badlands. He seems so not self confident or assured here. I wonder if his demons weren't already getting the best of him but he appears whole as of this clip. Kiddo who had lots of potential. To think his kids were 10, 9, 7 and 5 before he got fans! Picturing kiddos watching his journey. To think Emilio and Charlie only got famous ten years after dad.
