Making Axle Stand Bobbins

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

I decided to make some bobbins to fit on the rear swing arm of my Norton Commando 961 so I can get the bike up on axle stands.
I found some old bits of black nylon in my parts bin in the machine shop which did the job nicely.
This is not a 'how to' video as I do not claim to be good enough on a lathe to teach anything, but rather it is a watch-along video if you enjoy seeing such things. (I should mention that I trained in using a lathe, a mill and other workshop equipment at college 40 years ago, but only returned to using a lathe after I retired, so there has been a long gap, during which a lot of knowledge has been lost. Hopefully it will come back with more practice! Simple little jobs like this are just what I need at the moment, hence this project)

I always thought you had to cool things down when sharpening with a wheel like drills etc? Good video enjoyed it Col told me you had made some, I have to ask him what your channel is keep forgetting.
