Totaly agree with your sentiments. Personal choice is exactly that. Personal. Don't be mean. Analyse why you feel this way. But do it away from respectful people, quietly and whilst in the dark.

Long time biker here, I completely agree with what you are saying… We can still look down on scooter riders though, right? 😁😁👍

I enjoyed your video, especially the ride along the coast road through Laxey. It wasn't as nice as that two days ago. I am 77 and have been riding since I was twelve. I have had all sorts over the years, now I mostly ride a 350 Classic and a 500 trials Enfield or a 300 Vespa. Any criticism is water off a duck's back now, motorcycle related or otherwise, I don't have enough time left to give a f***. Edward.

As always you’ve hit the nail on the head! Most of us ride for the joy of being out there on two wheels regardless of which bike we choose to ride it’s the thread which binds us all. I acknowledge all riders (including those on scooters, though it has to be said the professional delivery rides have little truck with my conviviality…) with a wave or a nod.

Re your pal who changes his PCP bikes every two years, it's got to be a great way of experiencing up-to-date bikes as they come onto the market. Perhaps a downside is that you have to go fully loaded with accessories to keep the residual value up. One of the main attractions of motorcycling (for me anyway) is that it is generally not tribal - contrast, say, football fandom - except when it comes to ownership of / enthusiasm for HD. I have a 1200XE which I love and have toured UK and Europe on and like many others I used to wonder what motivated folk to ride HD enormo-hogs anywhere outside the American landscape. And then I demo-rode a 20 year old Road King, understood completely and bought one! Thousands of miles and 11 countries later I've traded it in for a modern Road Glide which I love and am taking on this year's planned jaunts. Still love and ride the XE and the only thing I regret about having both bikes is that I haven't yet figured out how to ride them both at once.

The amount of money spent on a motorcycle has no correlation to the fun and enjoyment derived from it! As long as it puts a smile on your face, it’s the right bike for you! Ride safe 🏍️🍺👍🇿🇦

Need to get my wife some mid controls for her sportster. Which plenty to choose from. I ride a Ulysses. They were both same price used. But I ride everywhere including dirt roads, 2 track, highway and down some single track trails. So it fits me. I like bigger turn signals. I am in a rural area. Went from a 73 360 yamaha enduro to the Buell. The electric start is nice. I don't set off car alarms with the Buell.

I like you have been riding motorcycles for most of my life, and have over the years had a plethora of very different types and styles, and when someone says to me what is the best bike you have ever had its not always an easy answer, normally apart from the one or two my answer would be the one that i ride at present normally its the one that suits what you are using it for at the time. Everyone has different ideas and needs and so its normally best to go with your own thoughts and enjoy the moment and not be bothered with what other people think and say.😊😊

The thing is, these tools who put other's bikes down, just ruin the day and the irritation lingers for a long time. I hate the behavior.

Excellent video sir! I couldn’t have done better myself! I’ve owned many marques over 48 years of riding and have endured the naysayers and the disgruntled many times. My motto? Above all, always be kind….

In the vintage bike world there's the guy who wants to show off his knowledge by letting you know every detail that's not stock/correct for the year and model of your bike. It's not always malicious...a lot of times they're just trying to help. They think they're telling you something you don't already know... and if you're new to that brand or model of vintage bike, maybe you don't know. When I got my first vintage bike, a 70's Honda CB750 I had no idea what was stock and what wasn't until the FB CB750 Group guys started letting me know. Some stuff I didn't care about, but other things I eventually replaced with the stock version (like the front master cylinder and the tail light.)

Yes! I'm in the Norton owners Club and the VMCC and some members just don't understand that you don't care if is is stock or original.

Dunno why you bother! People who criticise and condemn in an effort to make themselves feel better are just small minded. They have always been around and probably always will be. Anyway, I was thinking how far advanced spring is where you are 🤔. We are only just seeing daffs here. Although I did notice that new shoots of stinging nettles were poking through when walking the dog in the woods today. Always good to see a new video.😜

I know I'm preaching to the choir with my typical audience on this channel. I wish Spring was so advanced here - I recorded this last summer and have only just got round to posting it. We still have snow on the hills in Northumbria where I live.

Good morning, Proffessori. Is that the isle of man. In my early harley days of AMF I was criticised for my choice . Some called it a second-class ride. So my answer was to have a T shirt, which read. A second-class ride is better than a first-class walk. Wearing it stopped a lot of comments.
