“remember that you are still an artist, even when you don’t make art” makes me feel so much better ahhh! I’ve been in an art block for so long now and feel like I’ve just been doing crafts to fill the void. I needed that
Thank you for watchingggg!! I think I finally know how to pronounce linocut lol. Hope you like the viddy ❤

i find myself not doing art or not finishing pieces because I don't see a vision of what I want it to look like as a final piece. I'm too self-critical at the ugly phase of a piece. Seeing you carve out time for art and fighting to not give up on your art despite being self-critical is very awe-inspiring. Gives me hope that one day I can too. Your videos are grounded and real. Keep up the great content.

Clay artist here 🙋🏽♀️ I got SO excited when you said you were going to sculpt something! Your incense holder is superrrrrrr cute, great job!!!! 🥰🙌🏽
I am a polymer clay artist and this was a joy to watch you make your incense holder. I love it!!!
I love the comic and the way that you brainstormed about improving it! It was really cool to see how you solve a creative problem like that :))

I’m glad I was able to capture it!! Definitely is pretty typical for me to have re-dos :)
as a creative id say its a good thing to be critical with ones work thats how real artists are and how a good product comes out keep it up.
Your experience for the first day is so telling. In the daytime, it was like "oh I'm going to sit down and make art", and it probably puts a subtle yet present subconscious pressure to create in that way. I realize now that I do this to myself all the time. Yet, when you were chilling in bed at nighttime, you happened upon something you found interesting/provided inspiration, and the art that flowed out of you then was more spontaneous and "organic", in a sense. I also feel inspired to create and have generally higher energy at night! That's when the spontaneous shit happens.
I'm not an artist and not a crafty person ,how I really wish I was, I think I was born without a talent😅 but I just love watching your videos. It feels therapeutic for me ❤
buying new gamblin paints is the greatest feeling of all time ❤️❤️😊

🥲🥲🥲 omg that makes me so happy thank u
Yay! I love seeing you dabble in other art projects! I have a tip for linocut! Always cut away from you, never towards yourself (I’ve had many booboo’s) and hold the tool overhand with your finger above the base of the blade so it’s easier to guide and get more precise cuts! 😊 Happy Printing!

@@tofugooband if you are going to get that close, I’d also suggest glasses. Lino bits in the eye is no fun 🥺
Incredible comic strip
This was so entertaining to watch!!! One thing about polymer clay you need to keep in mind is that if you are doing it in the oven you also bake in, you should air it out until the smell is really gone as the fumes are hella toxic
Loved this vid! I feel like your videos inspire me so much to find the balance between curiosity/fun/playtime and taking art seriously. It's so lovely seeing you in your element! 👩🏻🎨🎨🌈💖✨
cute incense holder!!!
Since you've mentioned how much you love The Artist's Way I would hiiiiighly recommend Art & Fear by David Bayles. It's quite similar and it's amazing and I love it so much!!!! It's so good for when you need to feel inspired and less self conscious or afraid about making art.
I'm doing my nails while I watch!
I'm crocheting while watching your vlog. ❤
This Video was amazing!! Thank you :D Also the incense holder is sooo cuuuute 💙
Can’t wait to buy the sad duck print
i love creating your own activities to do, its something i miss from elementary school where being creative was a scheduled part of the day

Totally agree! I think it’s good to have some “just for fun” creative time as adults :)
Loved this! I’ve been in a rut for so long and finally started creating art again. This has inspired me to dig out some supplies and get crafty. Linocut is my favourite! I loved your cat print ❤️ although ngl it did stress me out a little when you were carving towards ur fingers aha 😬
Love watching your videos! I finally starting pursuing art more frequently this year and it has been a challenge haha You inspire me!!
I was eating pizzA for breakfast. And then I did a little drawing of a Duck too. Start the day with a little piece of Art.
I've been getting into polymer clay too! It's so rough keeping it remotely clean esp w/ white or lighter color clays loll a struggle. And I am inspired to try linocut now the prints are so so cute!!!

Aw thank you! And yesss it’s so tough to keep clean I wanna research how to make my apartment less dusty just for my polymer clay hahaha
My creative brain wakes up super late at night, too! My favourite doodles are done at like 10pm - 1am (or until I pass out with sleepiness haha). Why is that?? Haha
I'm so proud of you being so consistent with your videos and I found this video so fun. Makes me want to paint and draw more.
I love your enthusiasm every time you try something new! It's so refreshing and inspiring!

You've inspired me to try something new! This a great video. I never think you're in a rut. You're so good at everything you try.
I love the cat with the beret!
Baby lotion gets rid of those bumps on your arms super quick! Also dollar stores usually have canvases too and they're great!
I was just eating a gimbap before going to bed while watching this lovely video 🤭
Gab, you're the ducking best!! This vid's so fun love it ❤
The prints turned out amazing
i loved this video! sometimes i feel so overwhelmed at my ideas and take the planning process so seriously that i end up too intimidated to start. this reminded me to just get up and do it and not take it so seriously sometimes! i loved all the art you made in this video. can't wait to see the bob ross!

To answer your next question: I was crocheting plushies to sell at my upcoming art markets while watching your video! :)
your videos are so fun & soothing to watch :) i watched this one while working on a zine i've been meaning to make for ages!! thanks for all the creative encouragement & good vibes

Aw thank you!! Making a zine sounds super cool, good luck with the project :)
i love this video! love using new materials and mediums for art! Just a little tip for the lino-cut printing, use a THICK piece of glass or an acrylic sheet to roll out the ink on first, it wont absorb the ink and means you will get a more even coat of ink on your roller :)

Love the video!! ❤❤❤ Question: What Procreate brushes are you using?

I’ll add a link to it in the description! It’s the speedball brand from blicks
It's refreshing to see a vlog where you are actually doing something instead of just yapping and going to sponsored events that give away free stuff that 95% of the population won't ever go to. I find your videos refreshing and calming. Keep up the great content!!!
As a Banker myself I hope you opened a Business account and got a Business Credit Card and put all your supplies on it and used it as tax write offs lol
Love the vid- not sure why this hasnt appeared on your main 'videos' page! Not sure if this was intended but a heads up if not ☺️

Hi Gabi, which iPad you have? ☺️
I love the way you will try anything - you don't have that inner censor that I have that tells me not to do something for one reason or another - good for you! - but I did just volunteer to make a collage for the local library children's room and I have NO IDEA what I'm doing - but the more I get into it, the more I like it - and finally, you are so down to earth - no art jargon and stuff - I loved the "Rolly rolly roll" line - that's exactly what it is! - and now, back to my collage ....
@tofugoob

Haha you get ittt!! I also have an inner critic but more when it comes to the business/social media side of being an artist. Since I have little formal art education it’s easier for me to just go at it with a beginner’s mindset I think :)

I would! Do you have insta?
love your channel-- i dont believe in coincidences. maybe ducks are your spirit animal for a reason: "Ducks are especially interesting in that they are creatures who are comfortable in all the material realms; Earth, Sky and Sea. The Triad, being the number of the whole as it contains the beginning, a middle and an end. The power of three is universal and is the tripartide nature of the world as heaven, earth, and waters. It is human as body, soul and spirit. Indo-European mythologies represented the diverse fields of application of the divine power by endowing the gods with three heads. Hinduism recognizes the trimūrti, a figure with three faces on the same head, representing Brahmā, Viṣṇu, and Śiva; in other words, the creating, preserving, and destroying power of the divine One."
Please know that you shouldn't bake polymer clay in same oven you cook food in. Toxic chemicals. Best bet is a toaster oven used exclusively for baking clay. Please be safe! ❤

i just read from the Sculpey website that polymer clay is safe to bake in an oven that you bake normal food in as long as you wash the oven periodically with baking soda and water :)
@2:25 - Honestly? A little disappointed that you didn't pursue working on the sketch of the girl instead. Ik you're just starting on this journey so sticking to your comfort zone probably feels better but like idk i think you should try to push yourself some more.
