I listen to John Petrucci but I don’t really play DT or Petrucci stuff cuz uhhh it’s hard obviously, but I play John Mayer a lot, the wrong John but wth I could get John Mayer’s tone on the 2nd amp after the piezo. 🤣 So versatile.

We need the transpose function in all plugins, please Neural DSP

Hell yeah. I was also thinking for a Dime or Hatfield. Even Zakk. But Hatfield is an axefx guy now. Which is ok I guess but you lose your voice and just become everyone else.

I dont know if it is only me, but with Petrucci plugin, after decades of playing only in analog planes, I finally gave a try to the plugin world, it is like, if Petrucci says it is good, it has to be good haha

Neural DSP is out of this world amazing...after 20 years I finally found something worth sticking to.

This is absolutely the best Neural DSP Archetype ever, period. I've bought almost all of them and none of them sounded this great through my Majesty, except for this one! and the features are also really amazing! Thank you John and Neral DSP for developing this!

It’s half off right now everyone. I just bought it yesterday and love it. I’m not a professional and if I had to explain my skill level. I can’t read music. I couldn’t play a song start to finish if you put a gun to my head. But I have enough skill to sloppily sweep pick a couple of scales. And I enjoy writing my own riffs. So even if you are like me and not very good, for $81 it’s incredible and I would recommend it. This is coming from a simpleton. All you nerds and gods out there would probably be watching me flip all of the knobs and be like “Nooo, you can’t do that!” And I would be all like 🤤 Anyway, I’m happy with my purchase after 2 days

Will be awesome if John did also a bit of playthrought and to demonstrate some of the sounds!

This plugin is literally mind-blowing, def the best guitar plugin I've ever used or even heard. Incredible work from the whole team!!

I recently downloaded this to try it out. This thing is amazing and can get sooo heavy! I’m a fan of the boogie tones and this actually lives up to it! Also, I love how John put in his own presets. Other artists did too! This is worth the price!

It does sound phenomenal. My trial is up. Was literally just about to go in the garage to track some guitars, and buy this before you posted this. Great job on this plugin guys.

Im so sad my trial is ending in 2 days and I spent my entire plugin budget on the black friday sale getting gojira and tim henson... might have to dig into the piggy bank for this one it's just THAT good. That transpose feature is what seals the deal for me!

@@t.j.meechan682 it's amazing to record with software amps, you open it up and you're good to go. No microphone setup needed that requires a good amount of time to find the right spot.

I’m not even a fan of this style of music…and this is frankly the best plug-in I’ve ever tried. I have boutique amps collecting dust right now. The default rhythm amp (with the delay turned off) is just perfect. Hats off to Neural for making this amazing tool. 🤘🏻🎸🔥

It really is a big step up from their other plugins. I have 3 of the Archetypes so far and I'll be getting this one as soon as I can afford it. I highly recommend getting the 14 day trial to experience how great this is.

Such a great plug-in. I've got quite a few of them now and love all of them. But I have to admit, the extra features like Transpose and Metronome feel like a must have now. I literally close the other plug-ins and revert back to the Archetype: Petrucci because those features are just killer for my practicing. Neural DSP: Please update these into all the other plug-ins.

Super natural sound.

I’ve been using the Nolly and the Plini since last year and, honestly, I think with these two you can go really far. Now, yesterday, I started the trial on the JP and, in no time at all, I started creating new sounds just like that. Maybe it’s just the hype, but this thing does wonders. And as someone said before, the transpose should be a feature for all the plug-ins. Great job there Neural and JP.

I got this the day it came out. I've always respected Petrucci, even though I don't really jam out Dream Theater. But let me tell ya, this plugin is incredible and I use it many hours each day. I've been using it learn to a lot of new stuff recently like Intervals, Polyphia and Mark Knopfler and this works for EVERYTHING. Amazing, thanks John and NeuralDSP!

I get weird about tuning my guitar back and forth all the time and have finally been able to play songs in CGCFAD tuning with ease thanks to this! I keep my guitar in drop D so I just slap that transpose -2 on and we are good to go!

i know this feeling.

Bought it day one and damn, it blew my mind. Still does, honestly! It really puts all other guitar plugins to shame with the level of versatility and the high-degree of quality. I can't believe how good the presets are as well; I've only done a little bit of tweaking to some of them, but frankly you can play most of these straight "out of the box" and it'll sound killer. That Barstool Warrior preset that Petrucci made is my go-to crunch sound now!

He must surely think: "Damn, those amp manufacturers are in deep trouble."

I just got this on their 50% off Black Friday sale...it is fantastic. To sound even close to John Petrucci is a dream. The next Archetype I would like to see...Aaron Marshall. He is using the Quad Cortex live now - it would be awesome to have a plug-in for his rig.

I have to say that Mr. Petrucci's commentary on the needs, journey, and use of the final product brings honesty to this plugin. It helps it stand out in an oversaturated metal Neural focus. I plan to pick it up and try to see how far away from his tone I can take the product. A metronome as well for practice. Genius, always for practicing

I use the gojira and JP Plugin. The 2 complement each other very nicely. The Acoustic amp on JP Is amazing. We just need a Vai style Harmonizer.

I'm going to say this is what I've been wanting for to dive into the plug-ins world... I wonder what audio interface interface does J. P. use 🤔 does anyone know? Can't wait to try this out! 🤘

2022 John Petrucci is a Wizard who multiclassed with Barbarian.

In my opinion, it's Neural DSP's best plugin to date. I've been using Archetype Nolly for a very long time now, but I after buying the Petrucci plugin, it's all I use. Of course, the Nolly plugin still has utility. Especially if you want that 5150 sound. But if you want that thick, rich Mesa Boogie sound, Petrucci is way to go.

This plugin is fantastic.. I'll not use any other plugin in the DAW.. nice part is you can record the guitar track.. then go back and fine tune the plugin as you listen to what you recorded.. Love it.. Thanks for doing it JP.. (sounds great with the majesty, btw). I've used 4 other guitar modeling plugins, this is the only one that sounds great, and it's possible (finally) to get a sustained note, that doesn't crackle up at the lower dB. If you don't at least try the demo.. you're missing out. Great work, John.. "If all the world is a stage, then life is just a Theater of Dreams.. " See ya: Feb 8th/seattle/and back stage..

I noticed the unreal amount of sustain while holding a note as well and it just may be the selling point for me.

I picked this up recently while it was on sale, love it to death but I'd like to know what would be a good recommendation for midi foot controls. I'm considering a Behringer FCB 1010.

9/10 plugin. Only thing missing for perfect 10/10 is stock chocolate cake preset 😁

what interface do you recommend? I tired the plugin with several ones and the Guitar sounds good with the Volume pot full open but there are barely any dynamics when you turn the volume pot lower. It's pretty much exactly like the AXE FX III I have and it's really annoying because compared to my real Mark IV other amps and Helix, it's feeling really non dynamic.

Neural is reaching a new height with this plugin. Capturing favorite tone from one of the famous and talented guitarist in the world is just mind blowing. I try the demo and it really sounds good albeit need more tweaking than archtype Gojira. The feature such as changing tuning and parametric EQ are equally good. Other guitarists, which I suggest for the next archtype plugin, are Slash, John Mayer, Dave Mustaine or Metallica.

I’ve purchased many of these plugins and love them all. How can I use in a live situation? Not interested in creating captures of my own, just want a nice simple floor unit to control the MacBook. A power amp built in would be unreal!

Check out the Airstep by xsonic. It is a game changer, for the very purpose you mentioned. Midi control in a wireless footboard

I fixed 98% of my popping or crackling by setting my Power Options to High Performance... However, I still get the odd crackle.. Set to 48K Hz @ 128 samples. Any suggestions???

I'll be honest, I'm not really an amp sim guy. However, the sound and aesthetics of this one really tempt me.

If you don’t own any nNSP plugs then this is the one to buy, if you own a few already then this is a tougher sell. It’s a very good product though.

I've got the Archetype Gojira, but I bought this one too because it just got a lot better lead playing capabilities, and the sounds are a lot more versatile, less specialized as well (and warmer, thicker, which I always like)

@@guitarheaven1747 Absolutely this one is a great product, and I think the Archetypes are the best value for money. I really like the spread feature on the Petrucci especially for cleans and ambient noodling, the two clean amps are great too. I have Nolly and Gojira - the more a delve into the Nolly plug the better it gets but the Gojira is so brutal. It stands to reason that all these amps offer something different which is great but I’m trying to avoid option paralysis… he says! ha ha.

the plug in is super cool, i just dont see a plg in taking the place of my real amp or the place of my AXE FX

Personally, I'm haven't listened to much Dream Theater, however this plugin is legit, so far the best plugin I have tried. So many options to choose from, great presets, great tones, transpose, piezo, clean (that can sound as mean as a lead), powerful rhythm, seering lead, great effects, the whole pakage. Definitely worth a test drive for those skeptical
