    10:10 You could blend some of the extra water in the mostly empty blender jar to get all of the leftover mustard out. =) I definitely want to try this recipe. I’ve only made refrigerated mustard. I will definitely be saving the onions from the brine to use as pickled onions, or to throw in with a pot roast or something. =)

    If you add some water to the saucepan while cooking the mustard anyway, I would just add it to the mustardy blender and turn on the blender first to get every last bit of the mustard, THEN pour it in the saucepan.

  • @PlowAndPantryHomestead

    @PlowAndPantryHomestead

    I did that the first time I made it and it was too much water and took quite a while to cook out. That's why I prefer to just add a bit here and there. I do normally swish a bit in the bottom to get out the rest but was trying to just move on to the next step for the video.

    I'm not sure. I've wondered that myself but I don't think it is because the fermented mustard recipes I see take 2-3 days. I think the time sitting there helps break down the mustard seed coating but stops just short of fermentation. Thanks for stopping by!

    Could you add honey and make it a honey mustard? Or do you have to wait until you use it?

  • @PlowAndPantryHomestead

    @PlowAndPantryHomestead

    5 ай бұрын

    You can add honey. I like to just keep it this way so I can change it as needed when I open. I also don't make honey mustard with dijon so I've not tried this myself. In addition, most honey mustard you would buy in the store are actually mayonnaise based. When I make honey mustard I usually use mayo, yellow prepared mustard, and honey. But if you want a sweet dijon it is safe to add honey.
