Making an INFINITY MIRROR Book Nook | Abandoned Sanatorium
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
This book nook diorama is based on a photo taken in Germany by my friend Susanne @seenbymephotography on Instagram. I like how the photo looked like it repeated itself down the hallway and wanted to recreate that with infinity mirrors. It also features curved ceilings that were interesting and fun to make!

Wow your Infinity Book Nook looks amazing 🤩 well done
Another awesome build. Not gonna lie, though, I kind of held my breath at the end until I was sure no hammer was involved. ;-)

Wow you are so beyond skilled. I wouldn’t be able to do this
That infinity mirror effect is amazing and I love how you did the ceiling. Awesome job!

This is an awesome diorama. I can see the slight warping of the doors, from the thin mirror you used, but only *after* you mentioned it. Susanne's work is incredibly haunting too.

I loved hearing about the space you were creating here.. You really have a talent and skills that I’m so glad you’re sharing! It’s one thing to look at a piece and try to figure out how to replicate the look. It’s another to see how it was accomplished so thank you for sharing the process! 👍🏻

This is, by far, the best "infinity" book nook I've seen!! Really incredible work!
I've been to that place myself many times and when I saw the thumbnail I at first thought you had simply used a printed photo. Good job, especially on the colors and the peeling paint!

Thank you so much for fully explaining how the infinity mirror works! I made one the way the videos I watched showed, and it didn't quite work. NONE of them said don't put a light in front of the mirrors or it won't work! Now, I can fix mine! TY for sharing this build!!

Be fun to place inside a medicine cabinet an infinity mirror box holding a miniature lab or drugstore. Your work is absolutely amazing and eerily calming.
undereated channel! great job you got skills.
Perfectly captured the atmosphere by matching the pastel blue, I really enjoyed watching this come together dude!
Your work is several cuts above most work I’ve seen. You are more at the level that I love. For future you might try aging walls with a rusty watermark. I drizzle diluted iron paint down…it’s gray…but then you wet it with rusting solution and get real microfine rust in scale. Thanks for sharing. Would have loved to watch you cut that pipe for the ceiling.
Really great! I had to remind myself the light coming in the window was from a bulb and not natural light. You are quite talented in your work with lighting. It’s very convincing.

Wonderful idea your father had! I also admire your peeling paint technique. Just getting started with miniatures after a lifelong desire to do it. Your teaching style is great and I'm especially inspired by your filming techniques. Thank you for all you share!
Wow man! This is my second favourite of yours now. Your last one is my favourite. I love your peeking paint technique. Really makes this one pop, coz you see it more up close than your bigger builds.

It's very amazing I looooove it 😍 Thanks for sharing 👍 😊
This miniature looks like the real sanatorium. I myself have already been to this real Lost place in Germany. This replica looks very similar to the real scene. Really a wonderful work.
Judging by the picture for the video it’s super realistic I even thought it was a real place at first I didn’t realize it was a notebook until I looked at the description
I specific like the "set-up" between books, - Books if red it gives word of inspiration to the readers fantasy - just as the diorama shows a fantasy image.
So good at the painting technique ! Just amazing

This channel is underrated
Very Cool, I didn’t quite understand the mirror effect. I would love it if you would make a video explaining how you did it but I greater detail. There are so many things that can be done with that technique. Like creating and old abandoned “Fun House, House of Mirrors”. I think that would be a challenge and wonderful to photograph. If you ever decide to do it, I’d love a shout out. Once again, BEAUTIFUL work. Take care, Dee☺️👍

You are like a wizard or something bro!
looks like a surgery hall in beelitz heilstatten. Was it your inspiration?
Your Dad's roof idea was fab. So he's brilliant, too, then? I guess he inherited it from you 😉 Also: thanks for all you do. I've binged all your videos for the "background music" to my work today, and it's been a delight. I'm crossing you do another long chat with T-Nu soon!

Yes, my dad is great! Really appreciate you watching!
Awesome work, but what is the exact position of the second mirror??
I wonder if artists masking fluid would work like the liquid latex? Maybe it’s the same thing ?
@AbandonedMiniatures
3 жыл бұрын
I’m not sure! I haven’t used it, but it looks like it has a thinner consistency so it might be too runny.
Howdy, absolutely wonderful. If I may I ask ... the 2-way mirror was centered and placed vertically to the regular mirror on back wall - creating a "t" ? The light source is coming from the left-side window - Then, does the 2-way mirror have a right and wrong side for this effect?
Thank you for the amazing video. Would it be possible to create a version for selfies? What kind of modification I have to do so you can take a selfie in this mirror. Thank you again!
I don't think the warped mirrors are a problem. They add to the creepy scenery and make every reflection sort of different to the others, so it looks less than an infinity mirror.
@AbandonedMiniatures
3 жыл бұрын
I liked how it came out for sure!
I’m trying to do one like this, but it’s an endless river in the night and I need help with putting a moon in but I don’t want it to be endlessly reflected.
KITTEH!
Sieht Meeega aus .. Klasse.. kleine Frage : Wie hast du die Rohre für die Decke gesägt ?? Gruß Ralf Trombik
