Making an Egyptian Sword out of Rusted Leaf Spring

Hey there, Today we are making an Egyptian historical sword out of a rusted leaf spring. This is just a pile of junk or we can say it is just scrap for me so it is better to save it or make something cool instead of wasting this steel.
This is an one handed sword used in history by Egyptian so i am just copying the antique version. Guys i hope you will like this made.

Makes a beautiful blade and puts so much work into it, to then thread the pommel into the handle rather than the tang 🤦🏼‍♂️ This guy does amazing work and uses pretty primitive stuff compared to others so I’m not knocking it but hell, if I put that kind of time into it, I would make sure the handle wouldn’t fall apart after 2 good hits.

Yes, Mr. Sravanam, you got the name right. If I may add one little piece of information, maybe you already know it, but other readers here do not; it has that weird shape because it's originally derived from the agricultural tool, the scythe. It makes sense; because we, as a nation of farmers, developed agriculture long before we developed war-craft and weaponry. For most of its history, the khopesh was made from bronze; then it was from steel during the modern kingdom, the next to last era of Pharaonic Egypt, before the Ptolemaic era, which also counts as Pharaonic because the kings and queens of that era made sure to have the title "Pharaoh" next to their names. Greetings from Egypt.
