Sorry to hear you dropped the body, those headrest are absolutely killer! I'm really into this build Kreg and can't wait to see the final results.

Well these things happen, thankfully it can be glued back together, just slow down the build some. Time to get back on the bodywork.. Have a good one Steven!

A small strip of EVA foam glued into the seat would have added enough friction to keep them in place AND adjustable! Lol! Nice work Kreg!

@kregskorner8851 it's one of those details that's easy to look over, especially with the quality that you in particular put into all of the other aspects of the build. Even though it's not really simple to do, it's clean and it's one more dimension to your build that will enhance the "open-door interior ". Can't wait to see it finished. 💪👍

Golly this pace car almost became my first all-new car purchase. I went to so many metro-Detroit dealers in '79 trying to decide between Mustang and T-Bird. Ended up with the T-Bird. Insurance was lots cheaper! You really need a rubberized crash prevention mat for your workbench, Kreg. Maybe some mouse pads will work! lol

I had a 79 hatchback and me and my girlfriend can attest to the back being deep enough for teenage activities, even when closed 😁. Those seats look spectacular Kreg! You are really making me want to find a 79 kit!

Very cool idea to open up. The mesh on the headrests doing rods are going over the top. It sucks that you dropped the body.

Wow I messed that up So Sorry Dutch, I'm horrible with names at times. Going to model shows I always talk to Ray Russell and I knew his name, not sure why I called him Ron all day long, he came up to me at the end of the show and said I'm Ray not Ron, I thought, I knew that, I'm a idiot lol.. I apologize for that Dutch..

@@kregskorner8851 They look awesome! If you ever do it again, bend the metal posts out just a tiny bit then slide them in the holes. It will create enough tension that they will hold in place where ever you position them and still be free enough to slide up and down. 😁
