Making a wood cone center for turning

In this video, I use dimensional lumber to make a cone center which slips over one of my live centers for my lathe. This cone tapers from 7 to 1 1/2 inches. While there are numerous uses for this type of live center, I will largely use it to help center segmented rings as I'm gluing them to the ring below for segented turning. Below is a link to the video in which I made the circle cutting jig used in this build. After a short period of use I ended up gluing the live center in using epoxy. Please enjoy!

Just about over my head as a newbie. I would appreciate losing the music and adding some commentary for rookies. But hey, who am I.

I appreciate your feedback! It's always helpful to know who would like explanations vs. not.
