I'll probably never have the justification to purchase a laser, or a CNC, or two bandsaws, or a drum sander, or a large planer, or a 3D printer, or bulk purchases of plywood through Amazon, but seeing what you're able to do and what is possible is hugely inspirational. Don't let myopic individuals who complain about tools and skills dictate your videos and projects.
Waka Flocka Flaming turned out nice!
What?! There are multiple ways to do something??? Shocking. Very cool project.
2018 where makers have to put a warning before their excellently crafted (FREE) content about the tools they used. I doubt Ill ever own a laser cutter but damn that was still awesome to watch. Thanks for another awesome video David!

I was thinking the same thing, and was going to comment almost the exact same comment. No idea why people have to wine about laser cutters. Sure they're expensive, I'll probably never own one myself, doesn't mean it's not cool to see them in action. So instead, I just commented "nice flocking box" lol, cause that will never get old to me lolol
Much better backdrop for the big worktable! And it's a beautiful box!
Nicely done David! The new brick wall looks rad!
Putting the star on the tape was genius!!
We love the new video style, not to mention the long awaited return of 'Sand in the place where you live'. Keep these great builds coming.
Cool project. I like the technique of putting it together on the painters tape and then just turning it over.
Beautiful job, David.
Awesome! Love the magnet trick to hold down the pieces in the laser. I love that you joke about the computer controlled machines and enhance the fact that this is just an example of a method to achieve this looking object and that this could be made infinite ways. Something I think people don't really get that even though you don't have the exact same tools, you can still make it. I mean...it's your/our job as viewers/researchers to figure that out! To be creative and thoughtful! Anyway, look forward to hug you in a few weeks :D
Best. Intro. Ever. Very Adam and Jamie.
I don't own a laser but always get by with the razor like you suggested. I've had a lot of luck cheating by simply printing out my design and using some light duty adhesive on top of the piece. Rulers help too. Might have to try this design by hand. Consider me inspired!!
Speaking of your earlier videos, I was just chuckling to myself watching one of those old ones, I think the spline jig. “This is one of a three part series” all monotone and serious. Man, your videos have come a long way! The early ones r very Bob Ross-esque! It’s cool to see the progress! Love the box! Very creative!
I love the colors in the pattern. Great design. Who doesn't like lasers?
Learned, lived, loved, laughed. I quatro L-ed it.
Haters be damned. I love it when you use the Glowforge! Keep up the great work!
That was the best timing on the sanding song, Full Stop! I just got hit by the wife for saying it wasn't in the video! LOL She wasn't expecting it at all. Seriously, this should be a game. Thanks for the laugh brother.
Awesome Lazer Cutter!!! Great Box!!!
I love the idea of flocking...I must do this once myself too.
Love the new backdrop!! It really helps you and the pieces pop on screen.
Festool sander and HF clamps! Ya gotta love it.

Ha! It really is a good mix. Those clamps are fantastic!
with all the pieces cut on laze it's like a jigsaw puzzle you put together and finish in whichever way you wish. I prefer old school woodworking but nonetheless still enjoyable seeing what can be done with specialist tools. great work.
Loved the new format. Great music too. Thanks for sharing.
Love the new backdrop! Great project...I'm not in to laser cutting (yet!), but the inspiration is cool! I like where the format is going...great job!
You do make the coolest stuff in many different ways!
What a beautiful piece! Excellent work Dave!
I like the box, really beautiful, and you made marquetry seem simple with your assembly technique. I like the new backdrop and video editing
Like the new backdrop 👍🏻
That is too flocking cool!
No need to apologize for using the laser. That box looks amazing!!

Oh, I'm not apologizing!
Nice job on the box! Like the new wall too!
Like the new back drop. It really brightens up the shot I think (I'm not a photographer). Nice Easter egg at the end...Like a post credit scene at the movies. Great ideas as always!
I love the box! This could probably be done with a utility knife and a lot of patience.
Dope inlay work! The flocking is really interesting! Dope new background too!
Loved the project, I saw it on Instagram and was anxious to see the video. The background also looks great now and much less noisy than before!
Box looks beautiful !!
My complete lack of fancy tools does not in anyway stop me from both enjoying your videos and getting a hell of a lot of inspiration. I'm now going to go sit down and workout how to do some marquetry with just hand tools. Keep these coming David :)
cool box. I dig the laser projects.
Nice box, really enjoy seeing the capabilities of the laser and your use of software for this project.
I was missing the sand in the place where you live bit! It’s been one of my favorite little bits on youtube! Got my fix 😂
looks really cool....love the star on top
New style is great! Was sad about "sand in the place.." bit being removed and then you made it up to us. Cheers
Very cool project!!! Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful box and design, another great video
I really liked this one. Nice demonstration of what a laser cutter can do but still a very approachable project
That’s a beautiful box. I don’t care how you made it. A beautiful box is a beautiful box.
This little box has Art and Functionality all in one! Great work David
Usually, I am not a fan of CNC woodworking videos. Watching a computer cut wood for 5 minutes is less than entertaining. However, you did a good job showing just enough computerized woodworking to let viewers know what it looks like, but there was enough human woodworking to make the video a decent learning experience.
Lol the beginning is so funny and good job
Music to video is spot on
Thanks for that ending ;)
Great idea and even better execution. Nice work!
The project... Yeah dude. The switchin' up... Bring it on! It's working.
The new background reminds me of the white subway tile some Chipotle’s have, and now I want a damn burrito at 9 in the morning.
Another kick a$$ build that I can't make.... you da man!
Love the build...but especially love the retro-type music in the video!

Cool project. Great job. Thanks for posting.
I want a laser now! (I've always wanted one, now I need it!) Nice clean brick backdrop by the way.
Awesome little project. I just happened to watch your old flocking video this week and has inspired me to give it a shot
Everytime you say Bubinga, i think Bazinga!
First this video is amazing. So much creativity all at once. Second my glowforge arrived this afternoon so your timing couldn't be better!

Thanks! YES! Have fun with that Michael!
Love the boxes that you have been doing recently. But I also like the change you made to the back wall. PS, also glad to get the surprise at the end!
Beautiful work, as always ! Thanks for sharing !
sweet tunes, high five!
My god good sir! That is a gorgeous box! You are brilliant!
I don’t have a laser cutter (yet), but enjoy learning about different kinds of tools and techniques. This was interesting and turned out great. It would be interesting to have a review and hear how the Glowforge is holding up and performing over time.
Like the new wall David. Its a lot less busy.
The end is the best!!!
Love Laser Projects! Also white brick background is a video watching masterpiece
Lovely box, will give it a go
Not my favorite project but still love the technique you used to be able to make this box !
Oh yes. I'll never tire of watching you inspire. If my Glowforge ever gets delivered I'm certainly going to try this. Thank you for being creative.
perfecto!
Nice! I also like the new video style. Funny side story. My family and I are fans of your channel, so we always watch the new videos. I travel a lot for work. When I leave for a trip, my 9 yr old daughter always tells me to “Be safe....stay passionate....aaaaaaaand...MAKE SOMETHING!!!” :-)

Another awesome project and you used my favorite music so it’s double thumbs up!!!!
BTW, The white brick looks soo much better :)
looks cool
Love the editing, music, and pace - I've never seen a woodworking video with this much energy.
I like the new direction you're taking the videos with the making-montage and recap, it will be awesome to see where this goes!
I like the new background.
Man ur videos get better and better

Flocking well done
Whoa man! What a great project.. with your “freakin laser”. Love your videos brother!
I always learn something from your vids, no matter what tools you use. And I also have fun! Got some great tips for inlay and veneer methods from this one. Loved the music, too. Got a vintage Dr Who vibe from it. Thanks for sharing!
wow i like this very nice way to do the veneering inlays
One of my favorite video intros ever. Going to have to watch it again.
Like it David. Keep it up
I loved every second of that process
Not here to learn. I am just here to have some fun. Can’t we just have some fun.

Can you imagine someone ACTUALLY clicking away because of the laser cutting warning?! I don’t want to talk to them. Great video again!
I noticed the new backdrop, looks great, Go Browns
Really beautiful.
That's a beautiful looking box. Love the design. I love the new back wall color by the way.
TIL what flocking is. This was a satisfying project to watch come together!
