Idk what triggered the comeback of this style and why called vintage necessarily, but my bakery does a crazy number of these, in rounds, sheet, and heart shaped. They're fun to make!

My young daughter loves watching cake decorating videos and thought this cake was absolutely beautiful! The fact that it has gorgeous pink decorations (her favorite color) doesn't hurt anything! The only problem is now she wants me to make her birthday cake like this one! 😅

Thank you!! Honestly, I don’t remember hahaha. I might’ve learned in elementary but I definitely practiced my cursive writing a lot more in high school because I use to take graphic design classes!

Happy birthday! Beautiful cake, very well done. I do wonder though as you are a cake decorator, do you scrape most of the frosting off as you're eating it? For me I love cake, love making them, but when there is an overabundance of frosting, I find myself scraping it off and leaving about half of it on my plate. Thoughts?

I have heard people call them lambeth cakes! I’m not sure if that’s the original name but I think they’re more commonly known as “vintage” cakes these days

The Lambeth method has quite a bit more overlaying in its design, but this is similar. It is a beautiful Vintage cake. :)

What kind of frosting are the roses?

How do you cut a cake this tall? A slice would overlap the cake plate.
