I used to love drawing dungeons and maps when I was a kid...back in the 70's and 80's...but got away from it as I got older. I just found your channel and I went out and bought some graph paper, pencils, pens, etc. I'm rusty but it's fun. Thanks for the reminder and inspiration.

This is so awesome. Great content man. You are helping this first time DM a lot but realizing it doesn't need to be so complicated and doesn't require hours of research and planning to create a fun one shot dungeon

Hey JP, I have recently and randomly stumbled across to your vids and they really sparked my motivation on reworking a world I created with a friend a year ago. Big thx on that part. The only ´problem´ im having is that the world is not really in a typical fantasy style and more like a post-post-apocalyptic scenario with big deserts and cities made out of destroyed spaceships… Well I think it would be really cool if you made a video on a sci-fi or just non D&D style. But either way thx for your vids they really help me to not overcomplicate my maps. 🙏😄

Hi Mr. Cooper nice videos. Drawled my first 2 maps for my burning wheel campaign and even did one on cloth. Im wanting to do a water town like Venice in a fantasy setting. Any tips to make it look like the building are on stilts from aerial view?

Look into drawing an isometric map! That will show off the height better than a top down view.

Hsy so a quick question, what pens and supplies do you use for drwaing/writing all of this? It looks so amazing, but none of the writing and drawing utensils I've found so far can reproduce this. :(

If I’m playing D&D I will combine monsters or add new abilities to existing monsters and maybe adjust some stats to fit my players level better.
