    Nice build. It would interesting to see how well it holds up over the years with heavy use. You welded thru mill scale, no bevels on some parts when it could have used it and you ground out most of your welds when you cleaned it up. Your project you do want you want with it. I would’ve used at least .045 wire at least. The better size wire would be .052 since you used 1/2 inch or 5/8 thick steel.

    the slide needed to be machined from solid that u channel wont take much to deform. and how come so few chamfers for the welds???
