Today in the shop we set up and review the LaserPecker 3, an infrared engraving machine for metal, plastic, and leather. This machine is super easy to set up and use, being very "plug and play" with the free app and simple soft ware. On the first try, I was able to engrave cleanly on different types of metal and leather, and after getting the settings dialed in, etched The Art of Craftsmanship runes logo on all of the Sheep Shear knives from the batch that I just finished.
From what I have experienced so far, I cannot speak more highly about the ease of usability, versatility, and customizability of the LaserPecker 3 for small engraving jobs.

Mine is on the way. I can't wait to start engraving. Just as an aside, if you want to engrave wood, you are better off with a diode laser. I also have an AtomStack X20 Pro 20W laser that I use for my wood projects. It will also etch steel, but it takes a very long time (we're talking HOURS depending on the steel and/or coating) to get a deep etch of my logo in steel.

Haha! 😂 I have the exact same setup... LP3 and an Atomstack X20 Pro! Im just beginning though. Just starting to scratch the surfave of what I can do.

did you try getting the wood a little wet prior to using the laser? I have seen others do that for both wood and leather and get results

What settings did you use on leather?

This was amazing and about to solve my maker mark issues, until i saw the price...
How deep is it burning in? 3 thow?
I purchased a laserpecker 3 nine months ago and it will not connect to bluetooth. When i turn on the laser it flashed a blue LED for about 10 seconds and then red and blue LED lights start flashing ad will not connect to any of my devices and have even tried plugging it in directly to usb and still not connection. Support for this product has been a nightmare. CAN ANY ONE HELP ME WITH THIS PROBLEM?
