I have always used saddle soap & water on my edges. Use a piece of Levi material or canvas & deer antler & burnish. Then I dye the color of choice on the edge, black or dark brown & let dry good. Then oil & either use Tankote or Leather balm with atom wax for a finish. Sometimes I have used gum tragacanth on the edge after all is dried & burnish it again. I have never used that Tokanole. How do you like it?

I like it and use it on everything that I make out of chrome tanned leather Then slick it with a Dremmel drill. But most of the time on my projects. I use Yankee wax. It comes in different colors. It's a one shot application as you put it on, it Slicks the edge, and what's a finish on it like a one and done
