Tutorial for a h2o just add water mermaid tail!!
In this video I am showing you guys how to create a h2o just add water mermaid tail. And yes! I know, I did this before. But you guys loved it SO much and gave me great comments with feedback. That and 2 years of crafting experience later I just felt the need to create another h2o tail. I hope you guys like it!

Used materials:
air drying or oil clay: a lot, several pounds, kilo's on how big you make it
wood: a flat plate, and some planks for walls also depends on your size
plaster meant for creating sculpts: about 10 KG
silicone caulking, waterproof, ocean-safe: 30 bottles or more
foam, flow through system, waterproof: about 1,3 by 2 meters.
Lycra fabric: about 1,5X2 Meters times 2 (inside and outside)
Zipper: a waterproof scuba zipper (or any real strong one will work as well)
Lexan plastic: enough to create the fluke and extension, this depends on how big you make your fluke.
or alternatively: and existing proper monofin that can handle some weight.
Pigments: in h2o colors
small tools: like brushes, jars, gloves etc.
extras: (not neccessary but can be useful)
a suspension system: I used my dad's pull up bar
sewing machine
saw thing for the lexan
a proper working space

if you make this item for personal use I totally allow it! Personally I don't want people to follow these tutorials and use that to start a company or sell it to others. I put a lot a research in the techniques that I show here, and also in the techniques that didn't work and isn't shown. I always test A LOT before I make these tutorials and that costs money.
The point of these video's is that people can make a mermaid tail or necklace, etc. for a reasonable price If people follow these tutorials and use cheap and/or bad materials and sell if for way to much, people could get scammed (yes this actually happened) and that is not what I want.

I'm super impressed and blown away. U did such an awesome job. The merman in me wants to come out again. Would love to see a Zac tail.... Make it for a guy friend. They'll look so nice together

So first of all: Welcome back!^^ I really have to say I'm thrilled! First of all I found the editing excellent again, the wave transitions, the music and the font, everything fits perfectly so that you also have the vibe of the series :) As for the production of the fin, just wow! incredibly fascinating how much time something like this can take, but you also made it very entertaining :) I was able to follow a small part of the production in the Instagram stream at the time and the finished result turned out really beautiful and you look just as great in it . I'm really looking forward to the test video! Turned out great!
This is what I expected my parents to do for me when I was 12 and obsessed with the show😔

It's so cool! Great job! Are you planning to make a tail again? I noticed you do this every year. It’s great that your parents are helping you, especially filming videos underwater! It looks professional! Filming underwater looks like something out of h2o! Mako looked so realistic, it seemed that some of the shots of the island layout were taken from a real island in Australia, it turned out that you drew it on the computer! If you make a new tail suit and film it, can you tell us more and show in the video how and what you do with the fabric? I saw on your Instagram that there were a lot of loops inside the tail suit... also the second tail is different from the first, perhaps the second tail is more waterproof and not as heavy as the first? Good luck in your creativity to you and your family!

It’s my absolute biggest dream in the whole world to have a mermaid tale just like yours ever since I was little I loved mermaids and wanted a tail so badly I tried making one once but didn’t work and my family could never afford to buy me one so now I want one even more how much do you sell these beautiful tales for?

To make it?? About 400 :) I didn’t take swimming lessons but I did train a lot! Yes it is pretty heavy especially when it is wet!

Awwwe thank you!! The brand itself doesn’t matter to much. Well, the quality might be different on a cheaper brand. (Cheaper silicone will usually not last as long.) But the kind of silicone is the most important!

The foam I used is called: waterproof open celstructure foam with flow trough system. I used a lot of bronze and gold mixed with dark red, orange and yellow.

OH MY GOD YOUR SO ARTISTIC The only artistic thing i'm good at is Anime drawing I'm Going through my cousins Recent watchings And this video caught my eye I let her watch KZread when "I was Takin' the longest nap" thats what she said And I'm in love with these mermaid tails but They look like So Much work and it would be the Best thing if I had the pacience and money to do this it is Bizarre how you made my favorite shows tail and i just found H2O on netflix and i put her in here to watch my childhood fav show

Hello! (You’re one of the first to ask a question but properly say hello first so thank you :) the pigments I got cheaply from AliExpress, you can look up the color of it easily by filling in “ blue mica pigment” for example. (It’s pretty cheap usually) the backfin is silicone yes! Just like the scales I kind of shaped it a bit, but with my fingers. Thank you so much! Oh and if you’re making your tail and have more questions you can always ask them :)

Really depends on what silicone you want to use and what country you live in. The best silicone will always be Dragon Skin :)
