Making a Forge Hood and Anvil Stand

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Now that we've got the ship shop (mostly) in order, it's time we got the forge up and running again. Using some cheap and easy solutions, we're back in action and ready to forge.

Look out. Companies are making black pipe lookalikes that are thinner walled and not actually useable as a pipe. They are designed to be only shelving with an industrial pipe appearance.

Great video as always. After a day full of hard work you can just pour a cup of water in the forge and you can have a spa evening. 😉

Just be careful with the galvanized pipe, when it gets hot it will vent off dangerous gasses.

Nice! Good to see Skully and Miss Ix in the shop again. Is the sand just for weight or does it help reduce noise?

  • @skullandspade

A little of both, but mostly the weight. The clay shuts that anvil ring down instantly.

I was wondering why you were removing mass from the middle of your anvil stand and then replaced it with sand. A great idea.
