Making A Folding Knife

In this video, I'll show you step by step how I turned some old sawblades and a piece of burl wood into a functional and sustainable folding knife. As a DIY enthusiast, I always love to give discarded items a new life by turning them into something unique and useful.
I greatly enjoyed the making of this project and I hope I can inspire some people with this video. Enjoy watching and feel free to leave a comment!

At first I didn’t get why you welded it but then I saw how clean it looks. Nice job. Still think putting threading and using screws is better so u can clean and oil it regularly but this can be done without disassembling too I suppose. Ur video deserves more views

  • @featherstoneproducts6833

I get your point, but I went for pins instead of screws for a cleaner look and because the mechanism is rather basic and indeed easy enough to clean. Also because this is just my second fonding knife ever made and I lack the experiance of using screws. However, my first folding knife, wich is basicly the same as this one, I made over 2 years ago and cary that one everyday with me ever sinds, and never got problems so far. Thanks a lot for your feedback! Greatly appreciated!

Thanks man, that is realy nice to hear! That's the hole point of making these videos. I wish you the best of luck with your first folder, dont be surprised that some frustrations could be envolved in making these things, they can be a real pain in the ass, but its a great way of learning new things and in the end you gain a lot of fulfilment! Good luck and thanks again!

Thanks dude! Well, I searched a long time to find propper washers, and finaly desided to try to make them my self out of an old piece of thick wire. And they turned out perfecly! It wasn't easy to get them to the right thickness tho

Bro I can imagine trying to get the right thickness when you first tried that idea. When I see you do it on the video I had a smile from ear to ear. We all know how hard it is at times to find the correct washers. Have a good one Bro
