WOW, I caught the video on making the wood ball lure and the Teak wood lure. I hit a few more and ended up with this Fishing Reel. I am 84 and spent most of my life designing and building prototype products with a fully equipped machine shop. I have no idea what your' background is in Manufacturing/fabrication. I'm just overwhelmed by what you did in a home shop with wood and metal. You have my seal of approval. I immediately subbed and liked your' channel. Looking forward to seeing more of your' talents. You are a natural. Great job!! I think i will try to steal some of your' lure designs. ;O)
Someone's gonna find this in about 100 years ago say, this was from the covid era when manufacturing and farming shut down. People needed a reel to fish to feed themselves.

Time for a baitcast reel next
"Its kind of clunky and not that much of a pleasure to fish with" -My friends say the same thing about me!
Its bittersweet that this series is over.
Not only am I impressed by how awesome this reel turned out, but it was also incredibly impressive watching you persevere through frustrating roadblocks and come out the other side with knowledge and a SWEET new reel.
Put some heavy grease on those wheels and it will be far less clunky
Incredible! I watched every commercial that popped up. I rarely watch the commercials, but I watched these because you deserve every penny for your video's!
Your hidden comedy is amazing man! Most probably miss it.

That was a fun series!!! Nice work!
You never cease to amaze me man. Very nice job. I went back through your videos and found this gem. Glad I did. Can't wait to get my shirt and represent!
I can't stop watching your videos. Somehow it feels like Jim from the office making lures and fishing videos lol. love it

What an awesome series!! You do such an amazing job putting your mind to something and getting it done no matter what it takes. Can’t wait to see the next project.
Marlinfbaits: Literal legend!
That drill bit rotation to shutter speed was so cool
This is the only channel that genuinely excites me when I see a new video, Bravo well done!
This was pretty sweet, watched every second. Seemed like it was almost a "bite of more than you can chew" project and you smashed it. So, steampunk clockwork swimbait next? Make sure you add a compartment for dry ice. You know, to simulate steam.
Congratulations wonderful accomplishment. And thanks for saying "we" so much. Makes me feel like I really do play a part in your projects.

Great series! Impressive result! Have been looking forward to theese vids the last couple of weeks. Love your mindset and how you tackle obstacles in the process. Inspiering work! 👏👏👏
That was a great series, I thoroughly enjoyed watching the progression. and considering the materials used in the build, I think it turned out quite well. and I'm surprised at its resilience and function. 🎣👍
Way to go! Love this series! That was quite the feat!
Nicely done...finally u did it bro...im glad u make it..u should built a rod to...matching it with this beauty handcraft reel...it would be awesome..just my opinion...anyway congrats..from Malaysia
At least half of the reason I subscribed to your channel is because I like listening to you explain what you are doing and find the way you speak very soothing and relaxing. I totally don't fish, but I enjoy watching people creating things - especially woodworking.
This was an awesome series to watch. It’s amazing that you stayed with it until finished. 😎
Yeyy, well done I know you could do it Now time to make a fishing rod to go with it
Great piece of workmanship you must have learned a lot from this project awesome Chanel keep up the good work 🎣👍
Excellent timing for sure Just sat in the pub with a fresh pint of Stella And it’s quiet enough to sit and watch the final video I’m happy!!🙃
You’re a freaking stud! I love how you talk! Don’t ever change.
Damnit Nate... You did it! You really did it!!!
Nice job man! I love it!
Agree with a lot of the comments .. Long time watcher and admirer of the love you have for what you do .. Keep em coming !!
That’s great! I really enjoyed following along. Can’t wait to see it in action this spring. Looking forward to ur next project.
No need to apologize, the video and reel turned out great!
Time to watch him make a pole😁
What an Incredible series of Videos !!!! Congratulations in making your 1st Reel !!!! Very impressed by your determination to get this made, and all of the hurdles along the way that you overcame !!! Well Done !!!
Absolutely amazed by the work you do but this is most technical thing I've seen this guy make 🎣
I still think this is really a cool thing you made and would love to see one with more fine woods and cork and possibly even glass fiber reinforced resin or carbon impregnated resin, with your casting skills and now wood working skill i think eventually you can make a stunning hand crafted reel. I love the vids man makes me want to fish.
now im probably going to stay out here way too long and not catch anything lmfao love it just like me. i just retierd my mitchell avocate II last night from wear and tear caught a lot of fish on that sucker. BIG THUMBS UP HERE!
Well done sir. Lots of guys have taken the easy way out on the homemade reel. Yours is leaps and bounds better. Can't wait for spring to see it in action.
well done! I couldn't be happier for you. It was awesome!
A for effort and you learned alot, you taught me as well👍👍
Well done!!! Omg your face when you reel for the first time :p
What I love about this channel is that you don't give up. Other KZreadrs give up 3/4 of the way and end up with a crappy-ish result. But, you always go for the best result you can get even if it means taking longer to complete the project.
Very nice project, thanks for putting it together
Bro, just do you.. don't worried about making great videos. You have come far, great videos make themselves
Well done 👍
Wow, I’m astonished. I’ve watched every video in this series and I am so glad to see the reel is complete. Congratulations!
Just absolutely amazing!! So neat to see cannot wait till spring to see how that reel does!!
So damn awesome!! You must have some kind of engineering education
4 dislikes are from fish that know they’re gonna get caught with this
You deserve respect and praise! Great Job over all.
Another awesome project finished.cant wait for whats next.good job

Really enjoyed you taking us on this adventure of you constructing the reel. There is something so relaxing about your videos! Looking forward to all you do!
Absolutely outstanding! Garage engineering and being a maker "tinkerer" myself, you have done a great job reverse engineering and prototype construction. I enjoyed the whole series. Thumbs up
You know what’s next right? You gotta make a homemade rod and then use a homemade lure ;)

Loved the videos you have me making lures and painting them. Not well but gotta start somewhere right. Thanks for the inspiration!
Have you ever thought about making a pocket watch ? You certainly have a knack for it .
FINALLY 😍🙏
This is so cool. It's nice to make anything you want by hand

get a mini table top cnc mill you can make gears that are perfect and many other parts to great videos.
Great build, amazing persistence nice detailed work.. enjoyed every minute of it.. loved the tryout in the freezing cold, to catch a fish with new reel.. single digits Respect
Thank you for taking us on this journey with you. Loved the videos
If women don't find you handsome they better find you handy! Your commitment is inspiring my dude. The content is so refreshing compared to all of these commentary or hype beast channels. The monotoneish voice is unique to other videos because you sound like a normal human.

It's perfect! Enjoyed every minute!!

Enjoy watching this build. I hope you try to make a second one! With all you learned it will be awesome!
