It's crazy how I started watching this channel because I'm a tackle junkie. Now I've purchased all kinds of tools and supplies and I now make my own lures. Thanks Nate for the inspiration!!

I wore my marling baits shirt to the store the other day, and in the fishing aisle, a guy kept giving me glancing looks. Then, out of nowhere he goes “Marling Baits!” Like a password. We then proceeded to recount nearly every episode we could remember. So fun! You’re getting much love down here in Southern California, Nate!

He needs to make more saltwater lures. Bigger jerkbaits and glide baits would catch fish on all coast.

Are they good to eat? I live on the west coast and we don’t have pike, musky or walleye. Walleye is delicious.

There's always some stick in the mud who just can't like things. Or maybe it's because Mr Marling is energized and sometimes slightly chaotic....I like slightly chaotic, it's normal people stuff.

That local guy didn't know he just met an up and coming, bait making Legend. Me and my buddy's know you and we live in the Ohio River Valley.
It’s crazy how hearing ONE DAY. Will make your day.
They should make a coffee table book of Marling baits, nice photos, fun facts, some of the catch phrases. I'd buy that!
The laminate reminds me of recycling skateboards for projects. Your channel brings back memories of Every Third Thursday where a snowboard manufacturer comes up with unique ideas. You proved the lure works. Nice!
Long live the ‘One Day’! Thanks for every upload. Always following along from Mexico City.
I like the music over it toward the finishing of the bait
You’re the reason that my goal in life is to have a workshop for making lures. Not even kidding. Thanks

Because of you .My daughter and I spend alot more time together making and painting lures. Its awesome. We just bought shirts to.keep up the amazing job
First 😁 I hit that like button in the first second of the video 😄please do more one day videos. the weather is nice, you have no excuses anymore
The fact that you are using steel wire shows that you are really a responsible person now
Every time there's a Marling Baits upload I wonder "Is today the day a pike is finally caught"
Strawberry top water please. Almost that time of the year! Love your vids.
Video 7 of asking for a Sockeye Salmon Lure, great video it’s real amazing how your confidence and sense of humor has grown since you started talking. I could see people who don’t even like wood work or fishing watch your videos just for your jokes
Love the channel dude. You’ve inspired me to order some carving tools and build some of my own baits!
As a wood guy I must say this bait was really cool looking

Every time I watch one of your videos I want to fish. Thank you.
Thats it i broke. I did a one day build. Turned out way better than i thought. Largemouth pattern crankbait. Thanks for the inspiration!!!
Definitely digging the folk music during the final bait overview
For some reason, that reminds me of a vintage old school lure.. Like how some lures were painted almost like a hot rod
16:41 the fish lover!!! many compliments!
Instructions unclear: Treated tupelo wood like butter and now I've got splinters in my tongue.
That acoustic tune added a nice vibe😎
Whoo Hoo ..... Got the "WUN DAY" ... Nifty piece of Wood !!!! Laminated Pen ........ Great results , but WE always knew that you'd snag a PIKE !!!
Amazing! I'm glad you are still at it! Love the videos so much!
Recently picked up a bit of basswood and started carving my own baby largemouth to fish with in SC. Thanks for the new hobby! As far as the pen blank jointed bait, it’s awesome! That striping from the layers looked amazing!
my favorite bait so far!! gorgeous!!
What a work of art. Very glad you did not lose this one.
I made my first lure carved from driftwood with all the stuff I have learned from your videos thank you so much I wish I could show you the finished product it ain't perfect but it works casts nicely and you can feel the action when reeling it in. You have inspired me greatly
man im so glad i found your channel. the baits you make are so cool. youve made me want to get back into fishing irl instead of just playing fishing planet.
I really like the laminated wood....;) Alternating green/pine/charcoal gray would be an awesome color scheme.
Every one of these masterpieces are just chock full of visually satisfying components. - Congruent carving & sanding - Lead pour and cooling - Superglue absorbing into baking soda - Wires being twisted into hardware - Eyes dropping into place - Clear coating - Random Marling sounds Beautiful.
Inspiring, I just recently started fly tying and now I want to get into beit making. Truly a great job.

Always great to see your work
I've been watching your channel for a while now and that has to be one of the best baits you've made, just nice and simple.
Probably my favorite bait yet!
It has been a terrible week, definitely needed this. Thank you for a bright spot in a crap week
Nice to see the MB way of making a lure from laminated timber. Seen others use old coloured skateboard decks as well, which looks extra cool.
Love your videos man! I smile every time I see your videos in my feed.
Not gonna lie, I love all your stuff but that may be the most beautiful one you've done yet!
First time I've seen Nate catch a pike, nice one man👌
My Gosh.....it's beautiful!

This is one of my favorite baits that you've made tbh.
Sweet looking bait with that laminated wood.
I like it, turned out nice! 👍
That’s awesome man it’s nice when a plan comes together
Love the finish on that bait, very sharp!
Great video, can’t wait till the next one.
Once again another awesome lure... keep up the good work brother
I’d love to get into making baits like most of these. A video on the basic tools, stencils, paints, etc would be appreciated. If anything your baits are a pice of art!
It's beautiful.
Beautiful bait.
Very nice bait Nate 👍👍
An absolute beaut as always.
beauty catch! nice bait, as always Mr. Baits
I gotta say I have seen almost all of your videos an I like this bait alot out of all of them don't know why I just do

You do a great job making baits.
That baits screams 1950's. Very cool
Beautiful bait man, a job well done
Just was looking for your next video. Lol! 👍💜👊🎣 Love it!
Great lure, very impressive. One day!!
Always great work
thats my favourite lure you have made and i have seen all of them
That was a great lure! Got a possible suggestion, try putting tiny plastic wing fins at the back of a joint bait for more of an exaggerated swim action.
i am inspired to laminate wood now. thanks dude.
can we just take a moment to appreciate that he doesn't ask us to sub or like at all keep up the good work
Great looking colors
Thanks for the idea
