Nice job sir! Nice tool for pulling the bands through. Looks like a larger version of what my uses for sewing.

yesterday, I made one just like that. I used heatshrink tubing for wiring on the fork ends, added heat and they shrunk down to fit perfectly cut off the excess, and the bands are safe from damage, it is very accurate. thanks, nice addition to my collection of over a dozen slingshots, ring shots, and slingbows

A nice build video, but should have shown a few shots with the finished product. I like that “threader” tool. Looks like a fine mechanics wire, wrapped around a snap in a small leather thong? I ask as I struggle with the “wrap and tuck” method, as my fat fingers make it hard to work that finely.

I also using figure 8 but my problem is my aiming reference,my anchor point is my cheek bone and gangster style but the aiming reference is too low using that method, almost 1 inches above the fork tip above the target

It's just latex rubber tubing I bought on Amazon. 3/8in outside diameter, 1/4in inside diameter. They may have color options, although I haven't confirmed that.

@@TheSmoShow1 I ordered 3/8x1/4 "latex" tubing from ebay and it just won't stretch enough to get over the fork tips. I suspect that: (a.). it isn't really latex but neoprene or silicone; or (b) you have to have speargun band tubing for the elasticity.

I use a little rubbing alcohol or hand sanitizer on the fork tips and inside the tubing to lube it up a little.

And every time someone asks what I used or some other redundant question. Like the video here, what you're doing is self explanatory and all one needs to do is mimic the steps. All the materials are in the video and even in the description but in the end I see the maker of the video never provided the dude a list..it would be called extra and unnecessary work..good video, easy to follow and logical..

Not necessary. But It really does help the bands stay in place, as well as padding the bands against the fork tips. It also helps keep a positive grip on the fingers. But it's total preference!

It's called "Amber Belt" or "Amber Tape" you can get it from many slingshot websites, and it usually only costs a dollar or two for a roll.

It's a band template you can get them on Amazon or AliExpress.. and the knife is a rotary cutter. Don't use anything except a rotary cutter otherwise you'll jack up the bands
