Nice work. I like the stone finish. But I think I saw solvent stored in a 7 up bottle. This is a no no, to protect young children from accidental poisoning. Please change that bottle!
Very beautiful knife. Excellent balance with scale color and refined blade. One of the best moves, which had to do with the design of the blade, was removal of rows of teeth from original file. Utilizing a file makes it easier to create a wonderful knife, but to leave rows of teeth from original file is what I would say is nothing short of laziness. One piece of advice. Have to agree with Milan about using 7-up bottle. Worked on oil drilling platforms after high school. Hydrochloric acid is used to help drill through rock to get to shale containing crude oil. A close friend was a welder who brought his drinking water from home in a mason jar. He put it in the refrigerator with his lunch. He came into the trailer for lunch break and thought he grabbed his jar of water. Someone else had put Hydrochloric acid in a similar jar. My friend drank the acid thinking it was his water. Caused severe burns and led to many surgeries. He died at a young age and suffered tremendous pain. Mark containers with chemicals and place them out of reach. The first heating to cherry red then letting it cool slow over night of the high carbon tool steel was that ANNEALING for easier shaping on the sander? Why did you quench twice rather than heat treat(normalize) twice then quench before tempering in the oven?
