    I strongly suggest watching artifexians conlanging videos and biblidarions how to make a language (particularly, "selecting sounds" - Artifexian, "Phonotactics" - Artifexian, make a few root words, "Pronouns" - Artifexian, "pronouns II getting social" - Artifexian, "syntax" -biblidarion, "grammar" - biblidarion, Case aspect modality grammatical mood and ergativity - Artifexian (separate vids), "lexicon" -biblidarion, "word building" - artifexian, if u want u can use the biblidarions language evolution vids in the same playlist if ur making a natural language, if not, just skip them, "how to make a writing system" -biblidarion, "How to make a writing system" - Artifexian. I wrote this all in one go so sorry if I got any vid names wrong

    How about the grammar?

  • @kiraPh1234k

    @kiraPh1234k

    2 жыл бұрын

    I know this is 4 months later, but the first tool she was on, called 'vulgarlang', is wonderful for generating grammars. It can support some random generation with guides, which you can use to make grammar decisions yourself as well. You can end up making a language in a few moments on there, or spending many hours doing so. She happened to go to another site to generate words, but vulgarlang also generates words. Just only I think 200 words if you are using free version. Biggest thing to watch out for though is the "smart translator" - it isnt really much of a translator. You will need to put the words in the correct order yourself as well as add in any changes to the word. So if your language is verb-subject-object, then your text to "translate" will end up being like this "eat-PST:V i warm bagel" for a very simple grammar. Thats what you would need to type *instead* of an English sentence for "i ate a warm bagel". So its more like a custom gloss interpreter with some English recognition than a translator. But again, wonderful tool.

    I hate vulgarlang, its all so ehhh, like the grammar and stuff is so bland, not sure how to explain it. Trust me, itll be much better result and alot more rewarding if you just make a conlang

  • @mythhooked6082

    @mythhooked6082

    Vulgarlang autogenerates a language, as such it tends to take most of the art out of language creation. The symbolism in the semantics and grammar of your language, the exact specifics of the phonoaestetics such as which letters are used more often than others, the grammatical aesthetics, those are lost with vulgarlang. But tbh, it’s not really *for* conlangers, it’s for people who want a fictional language but don’t really care much about the specifics of the language, but tbh, at that point you might get just as much out of a cypher.
