Like the colour palette and the art style. Like to see more dude
I love the way you show progress and especially the stuff that didn't work out. Also the soundtrack really does it for me. By the end of the video I was in a very relaxed state. Thanks and keep on creating!

Your game has a more unique vibe then Over The Garden Wall. Its creepy in a way that get me excited to see your worlds. Great unique vibe. Love what your going for.
Loved watching this!! The colour pallet and the artstyle is sick!
Really looking forward to seeing this game evolve. One of if not the best devlogs I've seen in a while, keep it up!
I’m so Excited for the next devlog. And this video is so well made so great job magno :)
Great stuff, enjoyed your Devlog. Going to enjoy following along as you make progress

Excited to see your growth through this project. Awesome that you're documenting the journey. Always been a huge fan of everything you've done and I'll certainly play and support the project once it comes to fruition!

Can't wait for the next devblog, definitely subbing
Can't wait to see how this goes. Keep it up!!
Really liking the indie/cosy vibes of your project. Keep it up - would like to see more! 👀
Really love this! I can’t wait to see more, although I should say that for your animations, I think it would be better to have one “head” sprite, and have the AnimationPlayer change the texture as a property track, just to keep the scene tree less cluttered, but i’n mot entirely sure, since I’ve never made a top-down game before Edit: I think, actually, it would be better to use an AnimatedSprite instead of a Sprite, and switch the animation as a property track instead of the texture (each animation having only one frame, so not really being an animation, just using an AnimatedSprite)
This is gonna be great, i can feel it!
really love the art style you’re going with for your game looks super cool keep it up!!

Like a lot of the other people, I also really love the artstyle! The swing also seems very smooth and impactful, can't wait to see how this gamedev journey goes!

For the hurtbox, to calculate the shape it travels I'd recommend looking at Minkowski sums. It'll help you make a hurtbox representing the area taken up between this frame and the last frame.
looks good so far!
Awesome game so far! Subscribed.
Good ideas, good art style, good video editing, hope to see more from you game dev journey :)

Looks really good. As others have said the colour scheme and art style is spot on, although I'm not getting the creepy cute vibe you mentioned you were after, more just cute. But I'm assuming the enemies will bring in the creepy vibe. Looking forward to seeing this unfold!

thanks! and yeah i'm hoping the creepiness will come with some of the enemy designs and locations :)

Lhilli sent me, excited to see how this develops!
This is a cool game idea, especially because it is co-op. Far too little games are co-op nowadays and a lot of co-op games end up feeling like the co-op feature was an after thought.

completely agree! nothing better than playing a game with a friend
Looks so cute!
The month two progress report got me.
keep up the grind buddy
This looks adorable
chill music
good shit my fella good shit
Looking good! Art style is great and I'm always a sucker for co-op games. I would say, the anticipation phase of the attack animation takes a LONG time, which will probably make the combat feel a bit slow and clunky. Looking forward to seeing your progres!

thanks! and yeah i completely agree
love this
hyped for this
Good work!
Amazing vid!!
man i never had the patience to figure out interpolated animations and things. they seem like such great time savers but they require so much upfront knowledge and/or work that I always just said screw it, i'll just draw the frames meself. oh well. :p Your game looks great! I can't wait to see more! random note, at the end you mentioned the colliders and I think your terms for hitbox and hurtbox were backwards: conventionally the hitbox does the hitting, and the hurtbox can get hurt. ultimately doesn't matter, just a pedantic semantic. :p anyway, color me subscribed!
